you think republican policies are better for job creation?

  1. They have a policy for job creation? That's news to me. They like to talk about theoretical economics that sound all warm and fuzzy, but in reality create nothing. of course the dems don't have a policy either. Both parties are full of hot air.

  3. I continue to be amazed at the sheer audacity of dems to cite the housing crisis, which they are almost totally responsible for, as Bush's fault.

    Who pushed CRA?

Who pushed FNM/FRE to make subprime loans?

Who protected FNM/FRE when their regulator tried to force responsible policies on them?

Whose boyfriend had a highpaying cush job at FNM?

Who forced WaMu to promise to make hundreds of millions in bad loans to minorities as the price of approving a merger?

Who forced the banks to fund ACORN?

Bush as a terrible president, no doubt, but democrats pushed all these crazy policies that culminated in the housing finance crisis. It had zero to do with Gramm-Rudman and nothing to do with trading derivatives, etc. Mortgage lending was and is a core banking function. Democrats however intruded into the credit evaluation process and forced risky procedure on banks in the name of preventing discrimination, etc, whihc is code speak for paying off democrat constituencies.

Wow. So then, to be fair, Bush policies didn't actually create those supposed 2.5 million jobs during his tenure since his tenure also resulted in 2 million of those jobs to be lost immediately thereafter as a direct consequence of the economic overhang he left behind:
So, for all intents and purposes, Bush policies managed to create a whopping 500,000 net jobs during his eight years.

  6. Ahem, I asked you post the Labor Force Participation Rate graph?

Do you even know what that is and how it relates to jobs?

Bush did nothing about anything that would have helped the economy during his entire eight years in office. Part of growing up, AAA, is accepting responsibility for your actions (and inactions).

  9. I know how republicans try to spin a lower labor job participation rate to discredit Obamas improvements but many left the labor force before they wanted to because there were no jobs for them due to Bush's economy. The results are the same,Bush left Obama a pile of shit and Obama is doing a good job of cleaning it up
