I am hoping the protestors will be peaceful if the grand jury does not indict.

I support people's right to peacefully protest if they disagree with a government decision. I support those calling for no violence.

However "protestors" have no right to loot, riot, and burn. If the protestors get violent I hope forceful action is taken to clearly demonstrate this type of behavior will not be tolerated.

Sadly, it appears we have both professional protesters and professional anti-protesters in the town.

This is the problem. Most of the people who are causing the trouble are from out-of-town.

Most of the actual residents of Ferguson are peaceful and want no trouble. They are the people who protest properly if they disagree with the decision.

The grand jury decision will be announced at 9pm EST according to CNN.

If there was enough evidence to charge the cop, I hope he gets charged. And if he shot the kid as he was trying to surrender, I hope he goes to jail or worse. Unlike many liberals, my version of right or wrong doesn't change with party affiliation or skin color. I suspect most of my fellow conservative/libertarians here would agree - bad cops need to go to jail. Admittedly the stuff I've read suggests the cop is innocent, but I have more faith the GJ than I do the press.

MO governor already backing away from blame about the timing, saying "Wuznt my idea to tell everyone late at night."

I expect the timing is driven by national demands... a 9pm Eastern, 8pm Central, 7pm mountain, 6pm west coast time announcement provides time for most of the workers to get home out of downtown business districts and avoid potential civil unrest across many U.S. cities. With large groups of agitators promising a "militant response" in cities from Raleigh to L.A. - this is a concern.

This also means that whoever is left "protesting" (looting) in the inner cities are not innocent people caught up in the mess but people who made the decision to actively participate in the violence and mayhem.

  8. We could register psychopaths very early in their lives, keep them from getting any jobs with power over anybody else and all be a lot happier. Psychopaths are drawn to police work along with other careers that give them power... Psychopathy is 4% among Blacks and 1% among Whites. Once the Black psychopaths form criminal gangs they manufacture secondary or "learned" psychopaths, some areas could have 15% psychopaths and you can see that in ghettos, probably it's 80% after dark. White culture doesn't allow/encourage the learned psychopathy that much.

That guy that got shot was shown being very psychopathic, big sense of entitlement, bullying a store owner, walking wide between the knees and defying/attacking a cop. It might have been a psychopath-on-psychopath shooting actually, it's all about the disrespect with psychopaths...

I notice that these MSM fueled White on Black dramas start up before every election. I have to think that it's to motivate the White-hating Blacks to "get whitey" [actually it's to get whiteys money] via their votes. I've seen that k^&t Hillary speaking at black churches and talking all ghetto and referring to Republican Washington as "a plantation". I'm giving serious thought to building a fund to give a nice retirement to people that get screwed over by this political theater garbage, I'd like to see Zimmerman getting more cash out of the deal then Trayvon Martins' parents did for example...

I just want to make the point that "beyond a reasonable doubt" does *not* mean beyond a *shadow* of a doubt. Something to consider as this goes on.
