O777...I just wanted to let you know that I think your signature is great. You are a graphically gifted and usually very funny guy.

Makes me recall one of those "lists" emails someone sent me recently. A list of worthless trivia. In the list (which was long and not very memorable) were two items I do remember. One was that it is impossible to lick your elbow. The other is that Ostriches have never been observed to stick their heads in the sand. Oh, and it closed with something to the effect of "95% of the people who read this will attempt to lick their elbows". (So who is doing that now?) :)

So what's the deal with the head in the sand?

Also, someone sent me a review of Roman Polanski's new movie "The Pianist". Thought you might be interested since you so effectively dialogue with Wild about the German mentality. I would post it, but it is too long. I would PM it to you, but again, it is too long. I guess you can find it on the web if you are interested.

    It starts like this:

The Eternal Nazi: Watching A Holocaust Film In Germany
    Posted 12/18/2002
    By William Grim

There’s an old joke that inside every German there’s a Nazi yearning to get out. While a gross overstatement, there is, I’m unhappy to report, more than a little truth to that old chestnut. But more about that later.

It is very lengthy, but it goes into a great deal of detail about not just the film (which is supposed to be excellent) but how at the screening the reviewer (William Grim) attended, the german audience laughed during scenes in which those fun loving nazis tortured and murdered innocent people. If you are interested, and can't find the whole review, I will email it to you.

    Peace,

  2. Isn't it interesting that Wild would choose the handle he has for ET?

Take a look at the translation for Wild on a German to English web site:

    http://dict.leo.org/?search=wild&se...Hdr=off&tableBorder=1&cmpType=relaxed&lang=en

You have to wonder why someone who positions themselves as a "peace loving" individual would choose that moniker. Perhaps it is as you suggest, you can take the Nazi out of Germany, but you can never take the Nazi out of the German.

    Great link!!!!

So what you are saying is that he is basically an undomesticated, rambunctious, savage barbarian??? Sounds like a typical german to me:)
They make great foot soldiers. Who else can goose-step like those guys??

    Peace,
