What is going on? I guess, Elon has started a CEO resistance movement. https://www.marketwatch.com/story/y...o-berates-analyst-on-earnings-call-2018-10-19
"So if the stock continues to go down, based on these kids that play with computers and somebody else’s money, we are going to buy back stock,” he said. " It seems that Gonvales would be better serving his shareholders by rather responding along the lines of..."The stock seems to be going down based on analyst shortcomings, so we are going to be buying back shares as soon as we are able, because we believe in our company's future growth." Not sure if he could actually say that in a conference call without making some sort of public filing first, but it would at least ease tensions, and give stakeholders more confidence.
Goncalves just having a bad hair day and maybe got out of bed the wrong side that morning. As for Goldman Sachs, they are just doing what is normal for them, making a bearish call so they can step in and buy. Cleveland Cliffs stock coming down to support, looks like a buying opportunity very shortly. All the metals-mining are weak today, nothing to see here out of the normal. Goncalves is having an over reaction to how shares behave in a normal bearish environment which is in play atm.
It seems those CEO's need to understand the stock market a bit more to see that it's comprised of two sides not one; up and down.
I am sure that conference call audio is even more wild LOL. I think SEC should start an investigation on CEO who verbally abuse investors, individual or institutional. LOL
Why? There's no requirement to be PC about it and that's a good thing. Also, the audio of the conf call is widely available online.
