  2. The classic response, has been, and will always be:
LONGER THAN YOUR ACCOUNT STAYS POSITIVE.

  3. Emerging markets have not a bad place to be...REITS have been king the last 10 years though.

  4. reits were a good place to park your money when you couldn't get yield anywhere else.

    appreciation + divvies were good.

  5. I think the reits idea is out of the bag though...time for a breather in this sector. Prices are up, yields are down and we had another banner year for them in 2006.

Just my thoughts, take it FWIW...bulls can run for a while.

  6. i abandoned it 1.5 yr ago, a tiny bit too early. with short term rates up, why risk principal in the face of a real estate down turn, I figure.

  8. I was quite interesting watching this happen, their was a 5 point gap, and the offer would get lifted and they would then get tapped with a one lot trade. Lift the offers 3-4 more point tap it again.

It was as if one person was controlling the show, and most likely they were.

When I got up @5:00am the dow mini was up 65 points on 1200 contracts traded. Not exactly what I would call strong.

The equity index futures are the ultimat tool for market manipulation. If everything holds till tomorrow, the market specialists will gap open the stocks because the futures are up, free mark up, with little to any cash put down, nice business to be in.
