Well I for one enjoy talking with JM about his mentor and his upcoming trades. He's got some decent charts and practice trades he has shown.

I'm all into learning and trading phsycology (hmm misspelled).

And I'm still new myself at trading futures

  2. But beyond his rudeness... he has got a point.

I'll just leave this thread to discussion on YM.

I guess posting charts and trying to help people belongs somewhere else.

Sorry to anyone else that felt like I was distracting.

That is the price to try and help people, always criticized. But i'll get on somehow.

I'll be sure to post P&L of my real trades next week, or pop in here when I see some interesting discussion going on.

"there are many mentors in this world who serve a purpose for those new traders that seek help, Elite Trader is not a forum where a boxing matches take place, it's a forum where traders should seek to help other traders & perhaps learn a few things."

My mentor typed that to me in chat about an hour ago... and I completely agree. So i'll keep try and keep the peace.

EDIT: But i'm really off to bed now, good luck to everyone tomorrow in trading. I look forward to the upcoming week or next when i can finally start real trading.

Well volente started the thread and sounds like he enjoys talking about your upcoming trading. So I say no stay here and keep sharing :)

well until we make a new thread (when this one gets too big).

  4. Yeah, I know... but a lot of people come here just to post trade results, and I can respect that... I just get carried away some times. I guess in some sense I don't have a right to help new people, if infact I can't prove I can trade myself. So I have that to look forward to myself within the next 2 weeks.

    So, i'll just keep focused.

Thanks djx, you have been a great motivation with your questions and comments, made me rethink some things of my own as well.

EDIT: Okay... now i'm really going to sleep... every time I hit the submit button, something else pops up.

    So I'm off.

I own both books djx, and the Discipline trader helped me out the most. I have read tradign in the zone twice, and there are parts I like but I feel the discipline trader was a better book.

Movery, don´t let anyone get to you.
Personally, I don´t care what people think about me here. I just wanna learn as much as i can, and if people think i´m stupid cause of the questions i ask, well who cares? It only comes down to one thing - learning how to make money. Money, money, money, that´s the only thing that matters.
But i agree with volente - don´t count your money while you´re sitting at the table :)

ahh maybe I should check out the disciplined trader (got a 100$ gift card to amazon to use :)

ya I had a real hard time reading trading in the zone; seemed to me for real uptight and conservative traders.

any other good books you suggest volente on money management, T.A. or even futures trading.

I've got alot of books on T.A. but not much on money management or futures trading.

"lets forget this stupid exhange with this kid and get back to posting entry and exit reports."

Instead of bashing this thread, why don't you start posting real time entry and exits ?

  10. book hint ...

"ACD" if you can master its concepts ... the author claims you will do very well

note ... I have not mastered it yet
but have used its pivot formula to help me
trade FX in Asian / Europe hours
