Anyone here know how many YM traders there are in the world? With around 100,000 contracts traded per day and lets say each trader trades an average of 100 RTs per day, that would come down to around 1,000 YM traders. 100 RTs per day is on the high side, but that number would be the median since there are people who trade 30 cars a pop etc.. And lets see if those traders on average have a $20,000 account.. That is $20,000,000 you have up for grabs in the YM market each day. ....lol... just running some numbers.
20,000,000 is way off Acct size only dictates (according to your broker/clearing firm) how many contracts you can play with, not how much you can win or lose. Futures can have margin calls... "Get those brokers back here! Turn those machines back on!" As for how many traders, your just guessing. If you divide Daily Volume by #Transactions you get well over 100 cars per trade. That ain't anyone I know. Fun stuff, fun days Osorico
The first wildebeest to bury its snout in the water to drink is usually the first to be grasped by the jaws of the crocodile.
Nice to see there are others whom trade the YM in similar ways that i do...........been trading the ES exclusivley since `96 until a couple years ago & discovered the ym as a great vehicle for the dow. BTW,what is the "T " theory????? TIA
we're not done going down yet.... so dont be dipping your toes in the water to check... because water is full of piranhas. WHY? Because everyone expects a rebound on Monday... because Thu and Fri brought us to oversold levels... surely there will be buying now on Monday right?. NO .... There will be a whole lot of shakin going on.... Mkt wont take off on a big fat retracement untill the dumb money is shaken out. Too many can see the support here. SO will not happen. Monday.... will be more blood in the streets before she starts heading up. Only exception is... if we have a massive gap up.... than that will be the substitude for shake out.
blood? everyday is same..........see chart, take trades.....YM daytrader should not even think in bad day good day terms......all days should be wonderful i f we don't lose .........losing is bad....there were so many trades last week it was ridiculous.......a big bunch up and a big bunch down....where's the blood ? this is YM thread......no blood here unless self inflicted....playing the the duck pond with the crocs and piranhas........LOL
