  1. volente,

If your system works here it will work ES.....I think u will be disappointed in the narrow ranges.....once upon a time it was hot...maybe again.....it was a smoother market than YM or NQ.....

Well, there was no market on Monday, so it should have been Tuesday in the prediction. Nevertheless as of Monday evening 8:13 pm, the YMs are up 34 points. Although Putin shuting off the gas for Europe got me worried for a while...

But anyway, I was right, so thank you, thank you and thank you.... :)

This time no, because I mark to market and I didn't want to carry a position over into the new year. But what would you prefer, a good prediction without trade behind it, or a bad prediction with trades? :)

Neither, I prefer a good prediction with a trade behind it.

I figured you would say that. :)

So let's say if there is a guru, who can not stand the pressure of trading but can predict market movements 9 out of 10 times correctly, you wouldn't follow him, I guess. After all, you need those trades behind it... You probably expect the weatherman to carry an umbrella when he predicts rain.

I would be leary of why he does not have someone else pull the trigger for him with his money if he can't personally handle the emotion. When money is on the line it usually means someone is more confident of the trade than if it it is just a paper trade. Regardless it was still a good call on your part and I understand why you were not in. But answer this, what good is a call if you are not making money on it ?

I had a girlfriend, whose father was an expert at horses. He was very good at picking winners, but he never played. he didn't care for horserace, he just KNEW horses.

Generally I agree, it is better if someone puts his money where his mouth is, but there can be a number of reasons why one doesn't do that. Maybe the guru considers trading as gambling, so he has moral problems, but still likes to be right. Or the predictor can be a retired trader, who lives comfortably, doesn't play anymore, but he is still good at picking turningtimes...

So as far as I am concerned with predictions, all I look at is the trackrecord...
