So was I... but after seeing what ET is full of, dissapointingly, I just decided that it was worthless. With seeing what volente puts up with, it would just tick me off too much, because I can handle a loss, but I can't handle pointless criticism. I still keep a lot of people updated in PM, and enjoy talking to them. But ET is just full of trash and there are no mods to clean it up. It is sad. I look forward to Volente's trades and everyone else who posts them, but all the extra BS.... it isn't needed, it doesn't belong, and it ticks me off when I have to read it because it does NO ONE any good. I'm just sick of being more mature then other people on here. ======================== Here is an idea though... everybody just STFU about all this BS, and start posting trades. Because from now on, i'm using this handly block button.
jmowery you look forward to volente's trades. as far as i know he didn't post one trade today. forget posting trades as there worthless everyone needs to post there methods. i use 5 minute candlesticks looking for hyperextended moves to countertrend
Well that is okay... because I wasn't here to monitor any trades during school anyways. and as for my trading method... 1 Minute Timeframe- Support and Resistance - Price Movement Analysis. Or as lots of people like to do: KISS (Keep it simple stupid) Can't get any better than that.
3, 5 minute candles... whack away at S/R!! Or scalp away and let commissions eat your profits if you dont have the discipline not to trade during choppy periods!
I'm wondering if I should try and 3 or 5 minute chart to trade by. Is there any advantage to using a longer timeframe for intra-day trading? I only use longer time frames to indentify support and resistance... but have yet to attempt trading a longer timeframe.
mowey if you don't extend your time frame out you'll be chewed alive with fake breakouts and commissions will eat you . the 5 minute eliminates alot of the noise
False breakouts is one of the major faults of my trading. I have the right idea, but I just execute the trade and get knocked out , and then as it hits my stop, it'll start correcting and what I had in mind, did in fact happen, but I just got knocked out. I'll try it on a simulation to see if I can do any better.
Some people crack me up, They cry about my entries and exits. So then I start posting what I think the market will do 12+hours in advance and how I am going to profit on it and they cry about that. I posted my trade, I posted my reasons. I told everyone the minimum the market would drop today and it did. I gave a 80 point trade 12 hours in advance and instead of profiting on it, all I get in return is more crying. Jmowery, I don't need your defense. I let my trades speak for themselves. Through the years I found it is best to keep quiet and let your trading silence the cry babies. If they spent as much time working on their trading as the do crying then they would be making money and not spending idle time hating on those who do.
