  2. There is position trading............there is intraday trading........overnight holding and midnight calls are not considered intraday trading.........circle the wagons........intraday thins the crowd.......

  5. volente i love the way you have an 84 target and conviently covered at the almost the exact low of 94 when you saw it skied. and to boot you almsot shorted the exact high of the day. even you waiting 1 minute to post you could have seen which way it ran before posting. ibet if we tanked you'd have covered the exact low

  6. Maybe it turned around there because he covered it. It happens to me all the time since I really started doing some size.

  7. Support is around 290... I don't see the problem with him taking profit at 294.

agree with movery, i have my line drawn at 10295, so i don´t see a mystery in covering around that area

    here's a question ...

how do you trade a breakout without getting taken?
meaning since most of us YM traders are short term traders; usually a few RT a day so time period most likely the 15/5 or 2 min charts.

If you wait for after the breakout ie you've usually missed most of the move on a 2 or 5 min chart; there probably would be some left on a 15 min chart thou.

When do you get in? before the breakout, after you think it broke out or wait for a pullback? and how has it worked out?

*I'll start out since I asked the question; I've tried all of the above and its real hard to play breakouts on the 2 and 5 min charts. Most of the time they are at support/resistance and you get faked out so much (or its doing something you didnt see); 15 min chart breakouts are easier to see and play; although you can get taken there also. *

    LOL

    ripper,

How many contracts went off between 304 and 306 ?

A hell of a lot more than the 4 I shorted.

And as far as covering at 294, it went to 290 after I covered and notice what support has been since then.

Did you guys get in on the 10:30 reversal ?

Tonight's lesson will be on key time reversals.

Hey ripper, Don't hate the trader, hate the game.

    :)
