Absolutely nothing on the buy side. First time I've ever seen this.

Granted I haven't been trading long but this is unreal.

    Should I stay away today?

  2. Mate its called being limit down all the indexes are. Look at the offers in the S&P mini about 8k at the mo. Today will be very tricky stay out and watch the action if out are a new trader. Massive dislocations across the currencies and the equities with oil and the softs tanking on top of that.

CNN-Money: "Futures trading limits were imposed before 7 a.m. ET, when Dow Jones industrial average futures were down 548 points."

I don't mean to come across as arrogant or condescending, but if you didn't know they were limit down.

    You probably should.

Unless you are prepared to cope with possible moves of >5% in a half-hour, standing aside is a good idea.

We haven't seen "limit" on the opening since when, '97 or '98?

Maybe this is his "first time", and you should be gentle...

  9. I can see a strong rally potential but wont be involved until I see some pos confirmation and then only small. Today is not the day to be a hero
