I looked at that earlier today. It makes me want to write a letter to the CBOT and ask them why they don't seem to be trying to compete a little more with globex and their trading hours. Of course if the party responsible for those decisions really cared I guess they would have already done something about it.
how much additional business do you think they'd do by matching the Globex times on a holiday in relation to the cost of keeping their operations open. my guess is that the decision was a no brainer.
If there were the same instruments traded in each exchange then the competition would be an issue IMHO. The trader would go where the volume is. Michael B.
