Go long at, say, 23,000 on YM with 10 contracts. That's your $5,000 all holed up in one trade.

It drops one tick to 22,999. Your NLV is now -$50. Margin call time perhaps. Would it not be safer to trade maybe 2, 4, 5 contracts to give yourself an unrealized drawdown buffer?

I was a bit confused about what it going on.

 

Suddenly his post disappeared, but he did say you can't subscribe to a demo account. He probably got banned and all his 2 posts got deleted.

 

So now it is like "How many licks does it take to get to the Tootsie Roll center of a Tootsie Pop? The world may never know." Bummer. I honestly don't believe the owl when he says "3".

 

And somehow those 3 trades out 5 "profitable" come to $416 ??? at $5 a point.

 

Here is a sure fire way of making money in this market: just go long and average down.

 

@Magna Since you may have been behind this latest issue, can you at least answer the question? How many licks does it take to get to the Tootsie-Roll center of a Tootsie-Pop? The HAL9000 must surely know.
