Lets say you are doing quite well and your broker sees that you are. Can a broker "see" your chart live with all the markups and figure out how you are trading?

In another thread on ET some posters mentioned that entries and exits with timing are enough to break (reverse engineer) the code. So they don't need charts, markups or anything else.
Just when did you enter at what price, and when did you exit at what price. And yes, my broker has this information too.

I personally think they cannot, in the best case they can try to imitate.

Can you reverse engineer a trading strategy by just looking at trades?

Nevertheless can a broker "see" what one is writing and drawing on their charts as the day progresses? That is really my question. Like i know if one has a platform problem they can get on the phone with you and with your permission lock on your screen to see what is happening on your computer with their platform. They do this to help solve the problem. My question is can they do this at will without ones knowledge? Maybe someone who has been in the brokerage business might have some insight on this? It is not a question of they could but won't because of integrity or trust but CAN they do it? Or lets say you say your platforms work spaces for the day with all your trades and annotations on it. Can they access it?

Not if you wrap it all in foil.

For years the NSA was spying but nobody had any clue about that. Till Snowdon appeared.
So you are never sure and in best case you find out when it is too late.

I was one time witness (not active) of the hacking of tradeplans. I know for sure it can be done as I saw it with my own eyes.

    Nobody had a clue?
    Pffff. Speak for yourself.

But to the question.... in Windows....

Click Start > Control Panel > System > Advanced System settings > Remote tab.
Uncheck "Allow Remote Assistance connections to this computer".

You think that's all you need to keep them out of your computer? LOL.

Oooh I forgot, you put your aluminium foil hat on your head.

By default it is already unchecked. You normally don't have to do anything.

They have the potential to see. Are they 'looking' or archiving? I doubt they'd tell you. I also doubt anyone would go on record, placing themselves at the seen of the crime, and say, to the effect of, if not in these exact words, "I was one time witness of the hacking of trade plans. I know for sure it can be done as I saw it with my own eyes."

Oh! Wait! disregard my last statement. :)
