1st post and Dumb question: does anyone out there know what the largest lot size per trade can be accepted through the eCBOT system for the mini dow? Just curious. I switched from ES to YM recently and really like it, not as jumpy and spikey and seems to work better for the system I'm using.

Incidentally, I remember reading somewhere that the limit for ES on Globex per trade is 250 lots, and they were going to change it to 400 soon, or already have. I've seen plenty of 250 lot trades fly by in the T&S window for ES, but only have seen up to 20 per trade for the YM.

    Thanks guys.

Once you get over 25 liquidity can be a problem.

  3. John and taodr,

What charting timeframes do you use to trade the YM?

I use the 15min charts with trendlines.

    thanks,

Chip, I use 1min, 3 min, 5 min, 15 min. Depends how you are trading. Also watch ES 1min, 5 min and NQ 3 min. Reversals seems to be acted upon on 15 min. This is a point where I get fucked. Don't reverse fast enough or not at all.

Where can we get the best commission rates for YM?

I am currently using IB at $2.06 each way.

    I like this little Dow.
