I am totally against a line item veto but I am for completely ending the filibuster and bringing back earmarks.

I can't wait to see the details of this package. Should make for lots of hilarity. I expect some meager justification from you folks on the left on some of it, complete silence on other parts.

This is unfortunate. We had the same take on the relief package that last came out of congress and totally missed the forest for the trees.

It’s sad to see the frenzy of ignorance when these packages come out because people immediately look to attack them instead considering them as a whole and giving it a real cost benefit analysis.

The last package was digested by the majority of the American people in such a shallow way. There was so much confusion that people were asking why is there foreign aid in a stimulus package when a spending bill and a relief bill combined.

It takes some degree of intelligence to break these packages down. I hope people look at these with a discerning eye.

10 year bond has been moving higher for a while now (bottom was almost a 1/2 year ago). Wingnuts still don't it - Reps talk a good game about cutting budgets and reducing debt but just like the Dems do NOTHING about it:-

Highlights of Biden’s stimulus and relief proposal, also includes and extended moratorium on evictions and extended unemployment coverage both through September:

There is also money for clean energy, as predicted because Democrats cannot help themselves with that.

Interestingly, Biden proposes an expansion of the child tax credit to $3600/$3000 and expansion of low income tax credit to ~$1500 from $530.

$1.9 trillion in total - massive, massive.

My take from a political side is Biden is probably looking at the “shellacking” Obama took in the midterms after they went like warm on stimulus to combat the 2008 recession and democrats might buy into bigger is better might avoid disaster at midterms.

This kind of common sense is exactly why Trump won in 2016 and garnered 75MM votes in 2020.

Anyone with an IQ above 80 could give a flying rat's ass about the PC bs.
There won't be any PC without a country that defends it. Idiots.
