  3. seriosuly...eveyrbody always claims they knew, everybody knew... and then the conspiracy nuts come out to say, they let it happen so they could proceed with their nefarious plan....

“Bin Laden Determined to Strike in U.S.” The CIA’s famous Presidential Daily Brief, presented to George W. Bush on August 6, 2001, has always been Exhibit A in the case that his administration shrugged off warnings of an Al Qaeda attack. But months earlier, starting in the spring of 2001, the CIA repeatedly and urgently began to warn the White House that an attack was coming.

  4. so you cannot look at it as Hamas and Israeli army are doing bad things? so it is Israel's fault hostages were taken and getting killed in military actions? Right or wrong, Israel was not going to sit there while 1000 citizens were slaughtered and killed.

Every critique of Israel is often followed by some amazing silence on people who walked into a house and killed a child's parents and then bragged about it on the cell phone....threw grenede's in a bunker where civilians were hiding....but Hamas was justified because...israel is after the fact bombing the shit out of Gaza.

In other words those 3500 people in WTC deserved it amirite because U.S. government in middle east etc..

Its wrong to kill 15000 innocent people who had nothing to do with the attack.

While I entertained the idea (Bibi's handed off cash to Hamas after all), I've seen no proof & am more on Hanlon's Razor side w/this one. As I've been told, who knows how many such intel threats they assessed of which this one may have been one of many.

I'll need to see citation of me ever saying that

Well, we know it's their policy that any innocent killed by their bombs is because of "muh human shields" so they ought to assume the possibility that their "surgical strikes" also killed hostages and not just automatically propagandized as "hamas killed them". Or maybe it's all just bullshit and they never really gave a fuck....but who knows, perhaps Hamas does like to hide under reporters' households.

One's a terrorist group, the other's a standing army of an ally and "the only democracy in the middle east", I don't even get why we have to entertain "whatabouting" their actions on equal standing.

  7. It is not about whatabouting..if Hamas wants to attack military bases and soldiers it is quite another from raiding a kibbutz and slaughtering men women and children and then to listen to the world deny it happened in some circles, march en masse against the Israel. I am very disappionted in the way the world sees the Oct 7th massacre as a footnote to the Israeli attack on Gaza. To hear the public cry that the hostages were well treated lands about as well on my ears as the sentiment that there were good slaveowners who treated their slaves well. Not one mention of how they were taken hostage or who was killed to take them or the hostage bodies found dead but awesome HAMAS treated the kidnapped children well.... let's reward them.

I have seen the palestinian messages.. Hamas is not Palestine, they are a terrorist group! Always convenient to say now but since 2006, they been right there. This are the same people I have seen decry all Jews but Hamas is separate amirite? Israel is a government as you pointed out, not a religion or a ethnic group representing the world. BUt the same people who flood my social media asking me to stand up for Gaza being bombed never uttered a word when 1000 were killed on Oct 7th until they were pressured into the "both acts were bad but let me talk about Israel more"

I remember one gal psoted "Your silence on Gaza is deafening" I told her gher antisemitism was pretty loud and showed her 2 of her posts talking about the Jews wanting to kill Palestinians. ... Said Jews suffered a holocaust and now comitting the same acts.... Jews? Or the Israeli government....Mmmkay lol.

    Just venting......

  8. Exactly....i would agree 100% Israel's response was scorched earth, but for those who say Israel should not have reacted at all because the hostages... what planet are they living on? I can find numerous anti-israel rallies against the government (some seem to be against Jews) but Hamas and PLO got plenty of free passes

bro, the bodies weren't even in the ground before Bibi had already surpassed the kill count in retaliation. If the world didn't have time to "mourn" or condemn the actions of Oct 7th, you've got Israel's response to blame, not everyone else. Of course the world will prioritize the present and saving lives in the now before prioritizing bodies of the past.

I'm not sure what you want Gazans to do since 2006, rise up and overthrow hamas w/the guns they can't bring in, the aid they can't bring in, some opposition to deliver economic promises they can't fulfill from having to rely on the goodwill of Israel easing the blockade?

I post the clear Hamas propaganda of "treating hostages well" not because I believe it wasn't done under duress or was the exception, merely to counter GWB's/fox's thinly sourced propaganda.

And I get where you're coming from, Hamas can't be labeling itself revolutionary freedom fighters (a claim I hardly buy as they just want to trade one form of oppression for another) while attacking civilians. Ignoring atrocities/war crimes of other insurgencies/revolutionary movements is ignoring history however. I don't accept terrorism as a valid method of war but it's become one in asymmetrical conflicts (afg/Iraq). It seems preposterous to even make the comparison but do recall our guerilla army was seen in similar disdain by the redcoats who preferred to line up and shoot each other in orderly row formation. I sure wish terrorism will never be adopted by any professional army but we've often looked the other way as despots we backed engaged in such behavior.
