Geneva – As the war on the Gaza Strip enters its seventh week, Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor said today that the death toll from Israel’s genocide campaign has likely risen to 20,000 dead Palestinians, including those missing under the rubble with little hope of survival.

Euro-Med Monitor estimated that at least 15,271 Palestinians in Gaza have been killed, including 3,561 women and 6,403 children. Over 32,310 additional people have been injured by the Israeli attacks, many of whom are in critical condition and unable to receive even the bare minimum of medical attention due to the Gazan health system’s collapse.

There are reportedly 4,1500 people missing beneath the debris of buildings hit by Israeli air and artillery strikes, with little chance of their survival. Hundreds of bodies that cannot be recovered remain on the roads, according to Euro-Med Monitor, particularly in areas where the Israeli army has conducted ground incursions.

The Geneva-based group warned of the complete blackout of communications and Internet services in the Strip, following announcements by supplying companies that they have run out of fuel used to operate electrical generators. This lack of fuel seriously jeopardises civilians’ safety and ability to provide life-saving aid, and turns Gazans into silent murder victims.

Euro-Med Monitor pointed out that Israel—which relentlessly targets Palestinian journalists and their workplaces—has deliberately destroyed basic communications facilities and Internet infrastructure with the aim of isolating residents of the Gaza Strip from the outside world and eliminating their ability to document ongoing Israeli crimes.

The Gaza Strip has been suffering from a power outage since 11 October, after the Israeli authorities cut off electricity supplies and prevented vital fuel supplies from reaching Gaza’s sole power plant. Euro-Med Monitor classified Israel’s blocking of fuel entry, which is essential to running the electrical generators that supply crucial medical equipment, as inhumane.

The fuel shortage and the repeated Israeli air and artillery attacks on Gaza’s hospitals and their surroundings, have forced 26 out of 35 hospitals out of service. Along the same line, most of the ambulances stopped operating. Euro-Med Monitor said that more than 200 health personnel, including doctors, nurses, and paramedics, have been killed, and 213 others injured. More than 20 rescue and civil defense crews as well as 49 journalists have also killed.

Over 1,650 million Gazans have been internally displaced, about half of whom are living in severely overcrowded UNRWA-run facilities that are neither intended nor suitable for shelter, added Euro-Med Monitor.

According to the rights organisation, 55,200 housing units have been completely destroyed by the Israeli attacks, while 160,700 others have been partially damaged. One hundred and seventeen health facilities, as well as 223 schools, 821 industrial facilities, 177 press offices, 75 mosques, and three churches, have been targeted.

Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor warned that the interruption of communications and Internet services will provide cover for Israel to commit more horrific crimes, and called for strong international action to stop the genocide campaign occurring in the Gaza Strip.

And all of this could have been avoided if the Hamas chief terrorist, Yahya Sinwar, did not have his militants invade Israel and murder over 1,400 people on October 7th. The other reality is that a good portion of these Palestinians were killed by misfired Hamas rockets. Not to mention the Palestinian civilians being used as human shields by Hamas.

All of this could have been avoided if Israel (and America) didn't behave like such a bunch of entitled cunts.

The intent of military operations in a war is to maximize the militant losses of the enemy while minimizing your own military losses. Hopefully by wielding overwhelming military power, many of the enemy will be demoralized and either retreat or surrender.

The IDF is not going to storm a building in Gaza and take on the Hamas militants in hand-to-hand close quarters fighting. If the Hamas militants are shooting at the IDF from a building in northern Gaza then the IDF is going to call in an airstrike or artillery strike -- and take down the building.

Quite rightfully this is the correct action -- this is a zone where all civilians have been told to leave. Israel has done the maximum possible to allow the civilians to leave -- including having safe passage corridors at set times and taking out Hamas militant roadblocks that were attempting to prevent them from leaving.

The results in north Gaza after the ground invasion are not going to be pretty. With Hamas militants regularly shooting at Israelis, I expect a majority of the buildings in north Gaza will be leveled.

Just keep in mind that Hamas deliberately performed the attack on October 7th to prevent the Abraham accords from being put in place which would have allowed a path to peace.

Netanyahu facing internal pressure to end cease-fire, resume war against Hamas
The US is pushing Netanyahu to accept an extended truce
By Anders Hagstrom Fox News Published November 29, 2023

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is facing pressure from within his government to end the cease-fire with Hamas and resume the military campaign in Gaza.

Israeli Minister of National Security Itamar Ben-Gvir issued an ultimatum to Netanyahu on social media on Wednesday, saying the current coalition government would dissolve if the war against Hamas is halted. Officials from the U.S., Israel and Qatar are in negotiations regarding a second extension of the cease-fire with Hamas.

Israel and Hamas have paused their fighting for six days, exchanging Israeli hostages for Palestinian prisoners in Israel. Netanyahu is facing mounting pressure from international organizations and even the U.S. to accept a long-term cease-fire agreement.

Such an agreement would put an end to hopes of dismantling Hamas and ending the terrorist organization's leadership in Gaza, something Netanyahu has repeatedly vowed to do.

The more aggressive elements of Netanyahu's government recognize the conflict is at a key juncture.

"Stopping the war = dissolution of the government," Ben-Gvir wrote on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

Netanyahu was very clear in his intent to utterly destroy Hamas earlier this month prior to agreeing to a cease-fire.

"If you want peace, destroy Hamas. If you want security, destroy Hamas. If you want a future for Israel, the Palestinians, the Middle East, destroy Hamas," Netanyahu told "Meet the Press" host Kristen Welker on Nov. 12. "We're absolutely intent on achieving it. And what I can tell you… is given the extraordinary performance of the Israeli army in the last few days, the last few weeks, we're going to achieve it. We'll do it with as few civilian casualties as we can and with maximum casualties on the Hamas terrorists, which we are achieving day by day, hour by hour, will complete the task."

If Israel nevertheless agrees to another cease-fire extension or a more long-term truce agreement, Netanyahu's government could collapse, and he would face an election – a contest current polls suggest he would likely lose.
