It is and it isn't. Muslims see Jews and Christians as people of the "book", there's a long history of crusading in the region and these Jihadist are obviously on that religious kool aid. On the Jewish side you've got extremists doing their damndest to occupy illegal settlements and oust Arabs out of the west bank and Gaza under some "promised land" BS excuse. Then you've got a large contingent of nationalists that might as well be religious, "you lost, fuck off".

A large part of the Palestinian beef is territorial though and not religious. These are people that have been there for centuries and are getting pushed out of their lands for 80+ yrs. Then you've got them being treated as 2nd class citizens w/no rights in their own land plus the bombings/shootings of loved ones. It really is no different than whitey pushing Indians out of their lands and Indians doing raids in retaliation. Were there religious nut jobs on the whitey side? Sure, but the conflict was mostly territorial.

  2. Yeah, it's complicated. I tend to agree that for the Palestinian people at large it's a territorial dispute and a matter of respect. However, they aren't the ones launching assaults into Israel. Hamas, lunatic religious zealots have that covered and everyone pays the price. I think most Israelis would be happy with a peaceful coexistence, but they have their own brand of zealots masquerading as politicians and their people pay the price. The US of course is in it for the money and global influence spreading "democracy" and we haven't paid the price...yet. It's coming. 9/11 wasn't it. Understandably that part of the world isn't all that enamored with democracy, and who can blame them considering the fuck story we have going on within our own country. IMO there's no way this gets better anytime soon. The players are just too eager to act out their plans, all in the name of God, of course. Should this God exist, and it just might, it's no surprise why the God is so quiet. We're quite the disappointment.

So 'God' decided to populate the world and in it placed humans.
    Genesis 1:26-27 ESV
Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

Then 'God' decided after there were a bunch of people on Earth to give only one of His children a birthday present: an inheritance, land, special status, priveleges, guardianship and a book.

So 'God' who made man in his own image decided that shit stirring was the best thing, God is a shit stirrer, his children likewise in His image.

By giving one Tribe (child) a birthday present to the exclussion of the rest of His children and "FUCKOFF THE REST OF YOU ASSHOLE CHILDREN", God was happy with his creation.

That's how it works according to Jewish religion.

There's an eternal birthday party going on in the city.
The birthday kid is continually surrounded by friends who make him/her the centre of attention and envy.
Nothing that kid does on that eternal day is wrong because that kid has a type birthday status immunity.
The birthday kid gets showered with presents and attention from all the guests, the guests eat cake and drink up large, staggering around with bloated tummies and good cheer because they just so happen to be lucky and affluent.

Outside the gates to the venue are the onlookers, the outsiders, the 'not invited', the non priveleged, the hungry, the excluded and ignored.

The birthday kid is Israel who feels entitled.
The guests are the West namely America who have related to and befriend the kid.
The outsiders are the neighbours who the kid and guest despise.

Footage of apartment buildings in the Gaza Strip crumbling under Israeli airstrikes and suffering Palestinian civilians has filled Russian political talk shows and newscasts for weeks.

“They are razing Gaza to the ground,” state television anchor and propagandist Vladimir Solovyov said during a recent show. “We [the Russian army] don’t fight like that, not even close.”

“Only the Americans can stop this bloodbath but they are doing exactly the opposite,” anchor Olga Skabeyeva said during a primetime segment on the Rossia 1 channel.

Since the outbreak of the Israel-Hamas conflict, Russian state media, Telegram channels and officials have largely blamed Israel for the latest violence and accused Moscow’s foes in the West of double standards in an attempt to justify the invasion of Ukraine.

Thousands of Ukrainian civilians have been killed and several cities destroyed since Russian forces invaded in February 2022.

Many analysts agree that the conflict in Gaza plays to the Kremlin's advantage by reinforcing anti-U.S. sentiments in the Global South and diverting attention from Russia's actions in Ukraine.

The Kremlin has called the conflict a direct consequence of Western policies in the region that have favored Israel while disregarding the interests of the Palestinian people.

“Russia’s interest in this conflict consists of opposing the U.S.,” Marianna Belenkaya, an Arab affairs expert and journalist for the Kommersant business daily, told The Moscow Times.

    Condemning Israel
Following the start of Israel’s military response to the Hamas militant group’s Oct. 7 terror attack, Russian state media have expressed solidarity with the Palestinian people, condemning Israeli airstrikes on civilian areas in the heavily blockaded Gaza Strip.

“The one who answers barbarity with barbarity is a barbarian,” RT editor-in-chief Margarita Simonyan wrote on Telegram, commenting on Israel’s ongoing bombing of Gaza.

RT has given extensive coverage to Israel’s attack on Gaza as well as pro-Palestine protests around the world.

Some Russian media figures and officials have described Israel’s actions in Gaza as an act of genocide against the Palestinian people.......

Of course, Russian propaganda is going to try to stir up as much shiat about the Middle East as possible -- no matter how untrue it is. The intent is to benefit themselves.

How much does Russia stand to benefit from turmoil in the Middle East?
