Maybe Israel should stop using USA as a backstop to thuggery. Israel gets what it wants (brutality) because of this typical reaction from USA: “The United States stands with Israel. We will not ever fail to have their back,” Biden said. Comes back to 'Gods chosen people' myth and the strong Jewish lobbyists (propaganda producers)
Hamas, terrorists but you are fooling yourself thinking they don't see themselves as a legitimate army, were likely extracting revenge to play well with their crowd. They don't care if you don't see the festival goers as soldiers, they do and most of the festival crowd do in the cold light. They could have grabbed even more hostages with the resources they used in this attack. It may be simply to commit their population to a do-or-die mentality.
Just keep in mind that the Hamas terrorists killed U.S. citizens in this attack and the U.S. carrier group is moving east in the Med to support Israel.
Let's not play devil's advocate for terrorists either. Terrorists see targets of opportunity, nothing else. Sadly this attack just gave Israel greenlight to do in Gaza what the US did to Afg. The least charitable excuse one could use is that of making a music festival next to Gaza, arguably rubbing in the occupation but that's not deserving of death. Hamas broadcasting atrocities around the world will not be well received by Palestenian-sympathetic libs. either. WSJ reporting Hamas and Hezbollah met with and coordinated with Iran. Israeli intelligence confirming some meetings.
So cite an example where the IDF deliberately opened fire with gunfire on innocent Palestinian civilians who were running away and killed hundreds of them. And I am not talking about Palestinians throwing rocks and launching weapons at the IDF — these people are not innocent.
oh fuck off. Like it matters if hundreds of innocents died of carpet bombing or daisy cutting. Yeah, the rock throwers defending against an occupying force that just killed a family member are "not innocent". Seriously fuck off.
Targeted killing by Israel https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Targeted_killing_by_Israel .....According to the Israeli Human Rights organization B'Tselem, which uses data independent of the Israeli military, Israeli targeted killings claimed 425 Palestinian lives between September 2000 and August 2011. Of these, 251 persons (59.1 percent) were the targeted individuals and 174 (40.9 percent) were civilian bystanders. This implies a ratio of civilians to targets of 1:1.44 during the whole period. The civilian casualty ratio of the targeted killings was surveyed by Haaretz military journalist Amos Harel. In 2002 and 2003, the ratio was 1:1, meaning one civilian killed for every target killed. Harel called this period "the dark days" because of the relatively high civilian death toll as compared to later years. He attributed this to an Israeli Air Force (IAF) practice of attacking targets even when they were located in densely populated areas. While there were always safety rules, argued Harel, these were "bent" at times in view of the target's importance.
