Yeah it's the 'enemy' who is always the problem isn't it..... not Israel....? Saudi foreign minister slams 'extremist' Israeli government Saudi Arabia's top diplomat said Sunday that Israel's refusal to allow Arab foreign ministers to visit the occupied West Bank 'confirms its extremism'. 01 June, 2025 https://www.newarab.com/news/saudi-foreign-minister-slams-extremist-israeli-government Bin Farhan was speaking during a joint press conference in Amman with counterparts from Jordan, Egypt and Bahrain. [Getty] Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud said the Israeli government's refusal to allow a delegation of Arab ministers to the occupied West Bank showed its "extremism and rejection of peace". His statement came during a joint press conference in Amman with counterparts from Jordan, Egypt and Bahrain, after they met as part of an Arab contact group that was going to meet Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in Ramallah. "Israel's refusal of the committee's visit to the West Bank embodies and confirms its extremism and refusal of any serious attempts for (a) peaceful pathway .. It strengthens our will to double our diplomatic efforts within the international community to face this arrogance," the Saudi minister said. On Saturday, Israel said it would not allow a planned meeting on Sunday that would have included ministers from Jordan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, Palestinian Authority officials said. Bin Farhan's visit to the West Bank would have marked the first such visit by a top Saudi official in recent memory. An Israeli official said the ministers intended to take part in a "provocative meeting" to discuss promoting the establishment of a Palestinian state. Jordan's Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi said blocking the trip was another example of how Israel was "killing any chance of a just and comprehensive" Arab-Israeli settlement. An international conference, co-chaired by France and Saudi Arabia, is due to be held in New York on 17-20 June to discuss the issue of Palestinian statehood. Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty said the conference would cover security arrangements after a ceasefire in Gaza and reconstruction plans to ensure Palestinians would remain on their land and foil any Israeli plans to evict them. Israel has come under increasing pressure from the United Nations and European countries which favour a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, under which an independent Palestinian state would exist alongside Israel. How many times have I stated that the right-wing Netanyahu government needs to be removed from office via elections and a more moderate government put in place in Israel for peace and a two-state solution to move forward.
Greta Thunberg sets sail with Gaza flotilla that aims to break Israeli naval blockade Activists depart from southern Italy with ‘symbolic’ humanitarian aid; Israel still mum on allegations it bombed vessel near Malta last month By Agencies Today, 9:25 pm https://www.timesofisrael.com/greta...la-that-aims-to-break-israeli-naval-blockade/ Climate activist Greta Thunberg boards the Madleen boat before setting sail for Gaza along with activists of the Freedom Flotilla Coalition, departing from the Sicilian port of Catania, Italy, June 1, 2025. (AP Photo/Salvatore Cavalli) An international flotilla carrying humanitarian aid and activists, including climate campaigner Greta Thunberg and “Game of Thrones” actor Liam Cunningham, set sail Sunday from the southern Italian port of Catania, aiming to reach the Gaza Strip by sea in defiance of Israel’s naval blockade. The boat, named Madleen, is operated by the Freedom Flotilla Coalition (FFC), a nonprofit group that has long sought to challenge Israeli control of maritime access to Gaza. Organizers say the mission is “not charity,” but a form of nonviolent protest against what they described as “Israel’s illegal siege and escalating war crimes.” Thunberg, who rose to global prominence as a teenage environmental activist, broke down in tears during a press conference ahead of the departure. “We are doing this because no matter what odds we are against, we have to keep trying, because the moment we stop trying is when we lose our humanity,” she said. “No matter how dangerous this mission is, it is nowhere near as dangerous as the silence of the entire world in the face of the lives being genocized [sic].” Israel strongly denies accusations of “genocide,” calling them a modern-day blood libel and part of a broader campaign to delegitimize the Jewish state. Officials maintain that the naval blockade, in place since 2007, is a necessary security measure to prevent weapons smuggling to Hamas, the terror group that rules Gaza. The latest voyage comes after a failed flotilla attempt in June, when another FFC vessel, the Conscience, was struck by two drones in international waters near Malta. While the group accused Israel of being behind the attack, Jerusalem has not publicly commented on the incident. (Government of Malta) The Madleen is carrying what FFC described as “limited… though symbolic” barrels of aid. Among the dozen international volunteers aboard are French-Palestinian European Parliament member Rima Hassan, who has been barred from entering Israel, and Brazilian activist Thiago Avila. The activists estimate the journey will take about a week, unless intercepted. Israel has previously halted similar flotillas attempting to breach its naval blockade. The initiative comes amid reports of dire humanitarian conditions in Gaza. Nearly 19 months into Israel’s war against Hamas, triggered by the terror group’s October 7, 2023, onslaught, large swathes of the territory lie in ruins, and the United Nations has warned of imminent famine if access to aid remains constrained. Last week, Israel agreed to partially ease its blockade, allowing limited aid deliveries under the supervision of the UN. A separate aid mechanism backed by Israel and the United States — the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation — has been rejected by major humanitarian groups, who argue its distribution model compromises neutrality and forces population displacement. Speaking Sunday, Avila framed the flotilla as part of a larger international push to pressure Israel. (AP Photo/Salvatore Cavalli) “We are breaking the siege of Gaza by sea, but that’s part of a broader strategy of mobilizations that will also attempt to break the siege by land,” he said, referencing the upcoming “Global March to Gaza,” a protest initiative set to reach the Rafah crossing from Egypt in mid-June. The Israeli government says its military campaign in Gaza is aimed solely at dismantling Hamas and recovering the remaining 58 hostages taken during the October 7 assault, which killed some 1,200 people, mostly civilians. Hamas is believed to still be holding 20 of the hostages alive. In response to the attack, Israel launched an intensive military operation that Gaza’s Hamas-run health ministry says has killed more than 52,000 Palestinians. The ministry does not differentiate between civilians and combatants, though the IDF says a significant number of those killed are Hamas fighters. As of Sunday evening, Israeli officials had not publicly addressed the latest flotilla’s departure.
Gaza doctor who lost 9 children in Israeli bombing dies of injuries Last updated: June 1, 2025 | 22:09 Hamdi Al Najjar lies in a hospital bed in the Intensive Care Unit at Nasser Hospital after being injured in the Israeli strike in Khan Younis. File / Reuters Gaza doctor who lost nine of his children in an Israeli airstrike has died from wounds sustained in the same attack, a foreign news agency reports, citing local health officials. His death leaves his 11-year-old son as the sole survivor of the attack. Dr Hamdi Al Najjar was critically injured when Israeli forces bombed his home on May 24 in the southern Gaza city of Khan Younis. His wife and pediatrician Alaa Al Najjar was devastated to receive the charred bodies of her nine children at the Nasser Medical Complex while she was on duty. Her only surviving child, Adam, and her husband, Dr Hamdi, were both injured. Dozens of Palestinians marched on Sunday at the funeral of a Dr Hamdi Al Najjar. Mourners attend the funeral of Hamdi Al Najjar in Khan Younis on Sunday. Reuters The Israeli military has confirmed it conducted an air strike on Khan Younis that day. Israel's campaign has devastated much of Gaza, killing more than 54,000 Palestinians and destroying most buildings. Much of the population now lives in shelters in makeshift camps.
There is an internationally brokered ceasefire agreement on the table. Hamas keeps trying to add completely unreasonable demands to it -- underlining that Hamas is not interested in a ceasefire but just attempting to play their typical games. It's amusing to see that Hamas is demanding the stoppage of food aid that they can't steal and re-sell to raise money to pay their militants. Tell me how this demand helps the residents of Gaza. Israel declines hostage deal talks in Qatar after Hamas demands changes An Israeli official said, however, that "negotiations have not stopped, efforts of the mediators still continue." https://www.jpost.com/breaking-news/article-856322 Israel will not send a delegation to Qatar after Hamas requested changes to the US envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff's outline for a hostage deal, Israeli media reported Tuesday. An Israeli official said, however, that "negotiations have not stopped, efforts of the mediators still continue." Israel is making it clear that, despite Hamas' apparent "willingness" to continue negotiations, in practice, there is no change in the group's position, and that the gaps with the Witkoff proposal remain. Hamas's response does not include a serious reference to the Witkoff proposal and presents new demands that deviate greatly from the Israeli line, Israeli sources said. The additional demands include a ceasefire of up to seven years, a complete IDF withdrawal from the areas occupied since March, and the cancellation of the activities of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation. "Israel has agreed to the Witkoff framework as proposed – that is the official position," a diplomatic source clarified. "Despite Hamas' statements, there has been no significant change." Sources in Israel added that Hamas's willingness to return to negotiations is seen as a purely tactical move designed to improve its international image. "This is not an answer - it is a slammed door. Hamas's response only distances us from an agreement," Witkoff said in response to Hamas's demands. Tension between mediators US, Egypt The US, Qatar, and Egypt are continuing mediation efforts in line with the Witkoff proposal. However, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Ati held a phone call with Witkoff on Sunday that, according to Lebanese newspaper Al Akhbar, was significantly and noticeably tense, reflecting Egypt's growing concerns that the war in Gaza will become an open war of attrition. Egypt is concerned that the IDF's continued military activity, particularly in Khan Yunis, will result in a redrawing of the demographic map in the south of Gaza, and the gradual pushing of Palestinians towards the border with Egypt, posing a direct threat to the country's national security, Abdel Ati told Witkoff. Additionally, Abdel Ati reportedly did not hesitate to blame Washington for part of the failure of the negotiations, as well as criticizing the way the US administration is conducting the negotiations. Witkoff has asked American-Palestinian businessman Bishara Bahah to remain in Doha and continue talks with Hamas, in the hope that his presence will avoid a sense of finality or disconnect between the parties.
Those Hamas and Al Jazeera claims about a video showing an alleged IDF attack on civilians waiting for food aid --- Yeah, completely debunked as nonsense by the BBC. Just more Pallywood nonsense. Another Viral Hamas Propaganda Claim Reportedly Gets Debunked By Reality https://dailycaller.com/2025/06/02/bbc-viral-hamas-gaza-aid-israel-mike-huckabee/ The accuracy of a video from an Al Jazeera reporter who claimed it showed Israeli forces slaughtering civilians in southern Gaza was debunked Monday by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC). The video, which Al Jazeera Arabic reporter Anas Al-Sharif claims shows a massacre at a U.S.-operated aid distribution site in southern Gaza, actually depicts events that take place in Khan Younis, some 2.8 miles away from the nearest aid site, according to a BBC investigation. The video, which shows a chaotic scene and motionless and bloody bodies alongside others moving or attempting to move, has been seen nearly 380,000 times on X since its Sunday posting. Al Jazeera is a media outlet primarily funded by and affiliated with the Qatari government. “New footage documents the horrific massacre committed by the occupation forces against civilians near a US aid distribution site in the southern Gaza Strip, which resulted in the deaths of more than 40 civilians and the injury of dozens who had come in search of food to feed their hungry children,” a Google translation of Al-Sharif’s post, which was written in Arabic, reads. There are claims of a shooting at the southern Gaza Strip aid distribution center in Rafah, though they are so far unconfirmed, according to the BBC. Besides depicting a scene from a different area in Gaza, the viral video was also taken at a different time from the alleged aid center shooting, the outlet’s investigation determined. “The direction of shadows suggests it was filmed in the evening, not the morning, which doesn’t match accounts of the Rafah shootings,” the BBC reported. While the outlet debunked the legitimacy of the video, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), as well as the U.S. Ambassador to Israel, dismissed the Rafah allegations as false. The IDF told the BBC on Sunday that their preliminary investigation showed their units “did not fire at civilians while they were near or within” the distribution facility. “Without verification of any source other than Hamas and its collaborators, the New York Times, CNN, and Associated Press reported that a number of people seeking to receive humanitarian food boxes from the Gaza Humanitarian Fund were shot or killed by the Israeli Defense Forces,” U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee wrote Monday. CNN reported Sunday that officials said 31 Palestinians were killed after Israeli forced “opened fire” near the distribution site, a claim Huckabee disputed. “These reports were FALSE. Drone video and first-hand accounts clearly showed that there were no injuries, no fatalities, no shooting, no chaos,” Huckabee wrote. The Associated Press (AP), who told the Daily Caller News Foundation on Monday that they stand by their story, posted an article Sunday with the same figures as CNN did, citing witnesses and officials. Huckabee called on both organizations to issue formal retractions. The Israeli and American joint venture which runs the distribution center, the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), also condemned false media reports, according to a screenshot posted by Foundation for Defense of Democracies senior research analyst Joe Truzman.
You are either TOTALLY naive or just plain biased. I think the latter which then leads you to being stupidly naive. "Ooohhhh America and Israel are sooooo honest"
Why don't you get back to your Hamas Pallywood claims that the IDF killed dozens at a food aid distribution site --- an assertion that has been proven to be completely false by the BBC.
So this means that you agree that Hamas and Al Jazeera claims that the IDF killed dozens of Palestinians near a food aid station are pure bunk. And you have no meaningful comments on the situation.
