A religious war or a war of religion, sometimes also known as a holy war (Latin: sanctum bellum), is a war and conflict which is primarily caused or justified by differences in religion and beliefs. In the modern period, there are frequent debates over the extent to which religious, economic, ethnic or other aspects of a conflict are predominant in a given war. The degree to which a war may be considered religious depends on many underlying questions, such as the definition of religion, the definition of 'war', and the applicability of religion to war as opposed to other possible factors. According to scholars such as Jeffrey Burton Russell, conflicts may not be rooted strictly in religion and instead may be a cover for the underlying secular power, ethnic, social, political, and economic reasons for conflict.[1] Other scholars have argued that what is termed "religious wars" is a largely "Western dichotomy" and a modern invention from the past few centuries, arguing that all wars that are classed as "religious" have secular (economic or political) ramifications.[2][3][4] In several conflicts including the Israeli–Palestinian conflict, the Syrian civil war, and the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, religious elements are overtly present, but variously described as fundamentalism or religious extremism—depending upon the observer's sympathies. However, studies on these cases often conclude that ethnic animosities drive much of the conflicts.[5] According to the Encyclopedia of Wars, out of all 1,763 known/recorded historical conflicts, 121, or 6.87%, had religion as their primary cause.[6] Matthew White's The Great Big Book of Horrible Things gives religion as the primary cause of 11 of the world's 100 deadliest atrocities.[7][8] Such estimates and others indicate that historically, religion was not a common source for war or conflict and that other factors played a more frequent role.[9] WIKI
So it can be argued, yeah there are religious wars, but is that a term used as a cover up for political wars. My take on my 'delusion' as @echopulse would like to frame it, religion is the delusion and religion is actually a cover or a political manipulation. Religions are nothing more than political manipulations of the sheeple imo.
There are two main sources of bullshit in the world. Nay, there are three. And all have a common denominator. The two are politics and religion. If you look about, both spew claptrap nonstop. Oh yeah, everyone elses politics or religion "BUT NOT MINE!" The third is realestate. Of all the global industries, there is none like RE where bullshit is the standard MO.
You are simply displaying your ignorance. You clearly don't know much about Islam. You are making up an Islam in your head that doesn't exist in the real world.
I don't know where you are from. Are you even familiar with Sharia Law? Please explain how Sharia Law is compatible with western culture. Do you want Sharia law to replace the US constitution?
At this point it is pretty clear that @themickey is a Muslim. He continually attacks Christians and Jews but never says a single negative thing about Islam. He is part of the militant Islamic movement. If someone was merely against organized religion and the havoc ALL of these religions have caused across the face of the earth for centuries then they would also outline and include the aggression of Islam in their commentary.
Mate....You're clueless about what I'm saying. Religions are but some crock dreamt up by rulers to control their minions. Rulers dream up rules then tag "God" to it. Fear is a large part of the formula as well. Who said anything about Sharia being something I want?
