I was hoping for a better outcome of this situation in Gaza and the West Bank which involved a cease-fire and eventual two-state solution.

It is very clear that Hamas needed to be eliminated as a governing and militant entity in Gaza before any progress could be made towards a permanent peace and two-state solution. A two-state solution would also require a more moderate government in Israel than the current right-wing Netanyahu regime.

Sadly it appears that the situation is on a different path now which involves the removal of the residents of Gaza and the West Bank -- permanently shipping them to other countries. This is not the right or decent solution. In fact it is ethnic cleansing. I certainly hope that international pressure puts an end to Trump's scheme to remove the Palestinian residents and turn Gaza into 'the Riviera of the Middle East'.

'The US will take over the Gaza Strip, and we will do a job with it too,' he said at a press conference alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

'We'll own it and be responsible for dismantling all of the dangerous unexploded bombs and other weapons on the site ... level the site and get rid of the destroyed buildings.'

Trump, a property developer who sees the world in terms of deals, has long talked up Gaza's coastal location and pleasant climate as a perfect holiday vacation.

In his vision, U.S. reconstruction would create thousands of jobs and spare Palestinians the pain and expense of rebuilding once again.

When a reporter asked if that might involve military force, Trump answered: 'If it's necessary.'

President Donald Trump outlined an extraordinary new plan for the Middle East on Tuesday, with the United States taking control of the war torn Gaza strip while its Palestinian population is moved to neighboring countries.

Netanyahu smiled broadly at times as the press conference unfolded

And when asked who would live there, he answered: 'I envision world people living there. The world's people.

What People Are Saying.... Gaza mar lago
    https://www.newsweek.com/republican-suggests-turning-gaza-mar-lago-after-trump-announcement-2026314

Congressman Brandon Gill, a Texas Republican, on X: "President Trump is bringing peace to the Middle East, just as he promised. PROMISES KEPT"

Florida Senator Rick Scott, a Republican, on X: "Hamas terrorists murdered babies and burned people alive. They are evil monsters. Thank God we finally have a president who is committed to standing with Israel and working with Netanyahu on how to support their efforts to get terrorists out of Gaza and bring every hostage home."

Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Green, a Georgia Republican, on X: "Under President Trump, America will be the beacon of PEACE for the world! It's time to change the Middle East in pursuit of ending endless war, and this is EXACTLY how it's done!"

Connecticut Senator Chris Murphy, a Democrat, on X: "I have news for you - we aren't taking over Gaza. But the media and the chattering class will focus on it for a few days and Trump will have succeeded in distracting everyone from the real story - the billionaires seizing government to steal from regular people."

Congressman Eric Swalwell, a California Democrat, on X: "Wait what? The U.S. is going to occupy Gaza? We were promised no more endless wars. By my count we are occupying Greenland, Canada, Panama Canal, and now..Gaza?"

Secretary of State Marco Rubio on X: "Gaza MUST BE FREE from Hamas. As @POTUS shared today, the United States stands ready to lead and Make Gaza Beautiful Again. Our pursuit is one of lasting peace in the region for all people."

CAIR National on X: "Bismillah. Gaza belongs to the Palestinian people, not the United States, and President Trump's call to expel Palestinians from their land is an absolute non-starter. Jordan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the entire Muslim world have made it clear that this delusional idea is unacceptable.
If the Palestinian people were ever somehow forcibly expelled from Gaza, this crime against humanity would spark widespread conflict, put the final nail in the coffin of international law, and destroy what remains of our nation's international image and standing.
If President Trump wants to make history with some sort of grand peace deal, he must start by accepting that the only way to make permanent peace is to end the Israeli occupation and oppression of the Palestinian people."

Looks like Israel does not want to be accused of forcing Palestinians out of Gaza either. Now if they leave on their own that's another thing.

Israeli ambassador to the United Nations says Palestinians shouldn’t be forced out of Gaza
“I think we all agree that it should require the consent,” Danny Danon said.

Yah, blow the whole of Gaza to smithereens so it becomes unlivable, then tell the world Palestinians left their homes voluntarily, so Israel can move in; "Palestinians gave us their land".

Some words of intelligence from South America.....

Colombia, Brazil condemn Trump’s Gaza statements

Colombian President Gustavo Petro said the US is about to “ignite the worst war” yet based on the mistaken “belief that they are God’s chosen people”.

“God’s people are not white Americans or Israelis. God’s people are all of humanity,” said Petro, who has also clashed with Trump recently over the US deporting migrants to Colombia.

Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva also questioned whether the US was the right country to take a leading role in the reconstruction or administration of Gaza.

“What happened in Gaza was genocide,” he said. “Honestly, I don’t know if the United States, which is part of all this, is the right country to oversee Gaza.”

I don't believe in an antichrist, but if there were any, the majority of politicians of Israel and America would be it.
You know, it's those who have such belief in a (phony Jewish) 'God'.
