KCNA: N. Korean Artillery Units Ordered to Get Ready to Launch Fire

North Korea has ordered artillery units near its border to fully prepare to launch fire.

The North's state-run Korean Central News Agency(KCNA) reported Sunday that the preliminary instructions were delivered to the units the previous day.

Citing the spokesperson of the North's general staff, the state-run news agency said that eight artillery brigades were instructed to turn to fire readiness condition by 20:00 Sunday to shoot down South Korean drones if they cross the border again.

The KCNA said that the North Korean military is also getting ready to a possible escalation of armed conflict in the event South Korean unmanned aerial vehicles are shot down by the artillery units.

Earlier on Sunday, South Korea warned North Korea that it will see "the end of its regime" if it causes any harm to its people.

The warning came in response to the statement by Kim Yo-jong, the powerful sister of the North's leader Kim Jong-un, who threatened a "horrible disaster" over the alleged South Korean drone flights over its capital.

Iran has a hit list of former Trump aides. The U.S. is scrambling to protect them.
Roughly a dozen national security aides from the Trump White House are feared to be Iran’s hit list. It’s hard to protect them all.

U.S. officials are coming to a troubling realization about Iran’s repeated threats to kill Donald Trump and some of his former top generals and national security strategists: Tehran isn’t bluffing — and it isn’t giving up anytime soon.

Iran has been openly threatening Trump and those who oversaw his national security strategy since January 2020, when Trump ordered a drone strike killing Qassem Soleimani, then Iran’s most powerful military general. Tehran has put out videos depicting the future deaths of Trump and others who helped orchestrate the Soleimani attack, pushed for their arrest and extradition and issued menacing statements promising revenge.

Continues...Too much to paste all of it.

The Iranian people are as red white and blue as any American when it comes to their beliefs. Let our CIA do what it does best, and the 10% (tops) that control Iran, will find themselves in dungeons soon enough. That's what's going on behind the scenes. ~jmho

Iraqi groups threaten to target bases if US joins fray against Iran

As tensions are spreading across the Middle East, the Iraqi army, alongside Iran-backed militias, is reportedly on high alert.

US bases in Iraq and the region will be targets if the United States joins any response to Iranian strikes on Israel or if Israel uses Iraqi airspace against Tehran, Iranian-backed Iraqi armed groups said on Tuesday.

The Iraqi Resistance Coordination Committee, affiliated with pro-Iranian militia groups, said that if Washington chooses to take any “hostile action” against Tehran, “all American bases and interests in Iraq and the region will be our target with no escape.”

This alliance of pro-Iranian groups has claimed responsibility for numerous rocket and drone attacks against US interests in recent years, prompting Washington to retaliate against their bases.

As tensions are spreading across the Middle East, the Iraqi army, alongside Iran-backed militias, is reportedly on high alert as concerns grow that Israel may expand its military operations into Iraq.

Over the few recent days, security has been tightened around the US embassy in Baghdad, amid fears of protests and unrest.

Iraqi militias are weighing an escalation in their attacks on Israeli targets, but many see the US as complicit in Israeli actions, raising the possibility of further military strikes against American interests in Iraq and the region.

Recent security measures have also been strengthened in Basra, Iraq’s southern port, amid concerns that it could be a target for Israeli strikes. Basra is a key oil export hub, and any attack on its infrastructure could cripple Iraq’s economy.

Iraqi factions are divided over whether to target US interests in their potential retaliation. Some leaders argue that attacking US assets could destabilise the Iraqi government and provoke a strong US response that might derail their operations against Israel.

Others, however, insist that the US was a key player in the assassination of Hezbollah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and is complicit in the ongoing violence in Lebanon and Gaza, justifying an expanded campaign.
