Biden has a tailwind supplying bombs to Israel because he has the GOP's blessings. GOP are very happy to bomb the shit out of Gaza. Trump once he gets in again will bend over just like Biden. But when it comes to Ukraine, the GOP want Biden to fail so they dig their toes in. GOP are happy to see Biden & Zelinski to fail. Btw, did you know in Israel the 3rd most common language spoken is the Russian language after Hebrew and Arabic.

Photo: Adem Altan/AFP/Getty Images Erdogan Says Israel Will ‘Set Sights’ on Turkey if Hamas Defeated Staff Writer With AFP May 15, 2024 https://www.thedefensepost.com/2024/05/15/erdogan-israel-sights-turkey/ President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday claimed that Israel would “set its sights” on Turkey if it succeeded in defeating Hamas in the Gaza Strip. Erdogan, a vocal critic of Israel’s war in the Palestinian territory following Hamas’ attack on October 7, has often expressed support for the Palestinian group as defenders of their homeland. Hamas is classed as a terrorist organization by Israel, the United States, and the European Union, amongst others. “Do not think that Israel will stop in Gaza,” Erdogan told his party lawmakers in the parliament in the capital Ankara. “Unless it’s stopped… this rogue and terrorist state will set its sights on Anatolia sooner or later,” he said, referring to the large Turkish peninsula also called Asia Minor that comprises more than half of Turkey’s territory. “We will continue to stand by Hamas, which fights for the independence of its own land and which defends Anatolia,” added Erdogan. The Turkish leader on Monday said more than 1,000 members of Hamas were being treated in Turkish hospitals amid the ongoing war in Gaza.
Lebanon’s Hezbollah hosts Hamas delegation, fires 60 rockets on Israel The meeting is the latest between Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasralla and senior Hamas officials since the Palestinian movement launched its assault on south Israel Oct. 7. JALAA MAREY/AFP via Getty Images Beatrice Farhat @beatrice farhat May 15, 2024 https://www.al-monitor.com/original...osts-hamas-delegation-fires-60-rockets-israel BEIRUT — Hezbollah’s Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah hosted a Hamas delegation in Beirut on Wednesday as more than 60 rockets were launched from inside Lebanese territories toward Israel, further escalating tensions on the Lebanese-Israeli front. The meeting, held in an undisclosed location, brought together Nasrallah and Khalil al-Hayya, deputy head of Hamas in Gaza, as well as Mohammed Nasr, a member of Hamas’s political bureau, and Osama Hamdan, a Lebanon-based spokesperson for the Palestinian movement. According to the Hezbollah-affiliated al-Manar outlet, they discussed the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and the region as well as the stalled negotiations on a Gaza truce and hostage deal. The Lebanese and Palestinian leaders also confirmed during their meeting the ongoing cooperation between the various factions of the “axis of resistance” to achieve the goals of operation “Al-Aqsa Flood,” which Hamas launched against Israel Oct. 7. The so-called axis of resistance includes Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and its allies Hamas, Lebanese Hezbollah and the Islamic Jihad. Nasrallah has held a series of meetings with delegations from Hamas and the Islamic Jihad since the war in the Gaza Strip broke out. Most recently, in April, Ismail Haniyeh, the head of the movement’s political bureau, and his deputy Saleh al-Arouri were in Beirut for talks with the Hezbollah leader. Just one day after Hamas launched its unprecedented assault on southern Israel, Hezbollah began firing rockets from southern Lebanon toward Israel in support of the Palestinian movement. The daily cross-border fire has since intensified, raising fears of an all-out war in Lebanon. On Wednesday, a salvo of more than 60 rockets was fired from Lebanon toward Mount Hermon in northern Israel, Israeli news outlets reported, citing the Israeli military. Israeli air defenses intercepted several rockets while some caused minor damages, according to the military. Hezbollah claimed responsibility for the attack. In a statement published on its website, the paramilitary group said it launched dozens of Katyusha rockets, heavy rockets and artillery shells at the air traffic control base in Mount Hermon. Hezbollah also claimed to have struck “newly developed technical systems and spy equipment” at an Israeli site in the disputed Shebaa Farms area, destroying some of them. The group said Wednesday’s attacks came in response to the killing of one of its commanders, who it identified as Hussein Ibrahim Makki, in an Israeli drone strike near the southern city of Tyre last night. Earlier on Tuesday, the Israeli military confirmed the killing of Makki, identifying him as a senior field commander in Hezbollah who was responsible for several “acts of terrorism” against Israel. Hezbollah has named at least 295 members who have been killed in the exchanges of fire with Israel since Oct. 8. The hostilities have also killed more than 79 civilians in Lebanon, including three journalists, according to a tally by Agence France-Presse. On the Israeli side, Israel says 14 soldiers and 10 civilians have been killed.

Egypt warns Israel of ‘dire repercussions’ over Rafah operation in Gaza By Nadeen Ebrahim, CNN Wed May 15, 2024 https://edition.cnn.com/2024/05/15/...cussions-rafah-operation-mime-intl/index.html Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry at the New Administrative Capital (NAC), east of Cairo, Egypt on January 9. Amr Abdallah Dalsh/Reuters Egypt could consider downgrading relations with Israel if it presses on with a military operation in Gaza’s southernmost city of Rafah on the Egyptian border, an Egyptian official told CNN. “Everything is possible and is on the table, including the downgrade of the relations. But we are not there yet. We are talking to the Israelis, trying to explain and reach a consensus,” the official said. The official said that coordination between the two countries on the Rafah operation, which Egypt has publicly opposed, “didn’t go well. And that’s why we warned Israel of dire repercussions.” CNN has reached out to the Israeli foreign ministry for comment. The Wall Street Journal earlier reported that Egypt was considering downgrading ties with Israel. The two countries had been at loggerheads this week after Israel began a limited military operation in Rafah last week and seized the Palestinian side of the border with Egypt. Egypt subsequently refused to coordinate aid deliveries into Gaza with Israel. The official told CNN earlier that aid deliveries to Palestinians could be halted because Egypt can’t guarantee the safety of its trucks, as they may come under attack by Palestinian militants targeting Israeli troops. The top diplomats in both countries traded blame over the closure of the Rafah crossing as aid deliveries through the key land crossing halted. Rafah had been the entry point for nearly a quarter of the relief entering the Gaza Strip before Israel’s operation. On Tuesday, the US State Department warned that only 50 humanitarian aid trucks made it through to Gaza on Sunday, down from hundreds per day in previous weeks, adding that the number is “not nearly enough.” Israel placed the blame for the crossing’s closure on Egypt. In a statement on X, Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz on Tuesday said he had spoken to UK Foreign Secretary David Cameron and German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock “about the need to persuade Egypt to reopen the Rafah crossing to allow the continued delivery of international humanitarian aid to Gaza.” Boys watch smoke billowing during Israeli strikes east of Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip on Monday. AFP/Getty Images The Israeli minister’s comments drew backlash from Egypt’s foreign minister, Sameh Shoukry, who rejected Katz’ statement, calling it a “policy of distorting the facts.” Shoukry stated Egypt’s “categorical rejection of the policy of distorting the facts and disavowing responsibility followed by the Israeli side,” adding that Katz’s remarks are “desperate attempts by Israel to hold Egypt responsible for the unprecedented humanitarian crisis facing the Gaza Strip.” The crisis, Shoukry said, “is a direct result of indiscriminate Israeli attacks against the Palestinians for more than seven months.” Israel has said that it will never let Hamas take control of the border crossing. The Egyptian official told CNN that Egypt didn’t want Hamas to be in control either, but that Israeli control is also unacceptable. “It needs to be in the hands of the Palestinians,” the official said, adding that the crossing could be placed under the control of the Palestinian civil defense. “These are neither Hamas nor Fatah (a rival party to Hamas).” Israeli troops at the Egyptian border Adding to tensions are Israeli military movements that have seen the Jewish state’s tanks and soldiers operating on Egypt’s doorstep, causing outrage in Egyptian media for alleged violations of the 1979 peace treaty signed between the two countries. Israeli troops have crossed into an area that was demilitarized in that treaty four decades ago – including parts of a border zone known as the Philadelphi Corridor, where the Rafah crossing lies. Videos released by the Israeli military last week showed Israeli flags raised on the Palestinian side of the frontier. The Philadelphi Corridor is a 14-kilometer (about 8.7 mile) long and 100-meter-wide strip of land running along the border between Gaza and Egypt. The corridor is key to the 1979 treaty, a pact that saw Egypt and Israel end their enmity and which restricted the number of troops each side can place near the other’s territory. Changes to the security presence in the area must be made with mutual agreement. Over the years, amendments to security agreements between Egypt and Israel have allowed Cairo to boost its security presence in the Sinai Peninsula, which borders Israel. Palestinians displaced by the Israeli air and ground offensive on the Gaza Strip walk through a makeshift tent camp in Rafah on the border with Egypt, in Gaza on May 10.Abdel Kareem Hana/AP Israel has not disclosed the scale of its military presence in Rafah. But according to the 1979 peace treaty, which was drawn up before Israel unilaterally withdrew troops from Gaza in 2005, Israel is allowed a limited force of four infantry battalions in Zone D – where the Philadelphi Corridor lies. These battalions may consist of up to 180 armored personnel vehicles and a total of four thousand personnel. The presence of tanks, artillery and anti-aircraft missiles, except individual surface-to-air missiles, isn’t allowed, the treaty says. It is unclear how many troops Israel now has stationed across the border in Rafah. Asked by CNN about the scale of its military operation in the city, and whether it was coordinated with the Egyptians, the IDF declined to comment. CNN’s Hamdi Alkhshali, Michael Conte, Michael Schwartz, Mostafa Salem, Mohammed Tawfeeq, Tim Lister Abeer Salman and Richard Roth contributed reporting.
More than $1m seized in Israeli raids on Palestinian exchange shops Zein Basravi Reporting from Ramallah in the occupied West Bank It’s been another busy night in the occupied West Bank. What stands out is the raids on all 11 branches of one exchange company where four people were also detained. Israel says the exchange company is dealing with “terrorist groups”. The company estimates that their losses are about 4 million shekels, or more than $1m. In December, the Israeli military carried out similar raids on exchange branches of various companies, including this one. Last time, they said they lost 1 million shekels, close to $300,000. In the latest raids, computers were confiscated. They even took safes and everything inside them. There were no legal proceedings before these raids. The Israeli forces made accusations and left flyers saying that any sort of association with any armed group makes them guilty of being terrorists. This has the hallmarks of a heist more than any sort of police action. It has made people more afraid and paranoid. It is yet another example of a kind of collective punishment where Israel accuses civilian businesses of being affiliated with so-called terror groups or armed groups, without providing evidence. https://www.aljazeera.com/
Team Hamas is pro-Genocide. The Gaza conflict: Genocide and Hamas go hand in hand Don't demonize Israel for resisting Hamas' terrorism. https://www.palmbeachpost.com/story...l-for-fighting-hamas-war-on-jews/73683169007/ The torrent of hatred directed against Israel since the brutal Oct. 7 massacre by Hamas in Israel has been unrelenting. A common, libelous trope among the haters is that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza, as Donna Nevel inaccurately asserted on this page last week. It is totally beyond the pale – a complete inversion of reality – and it must be condemned. Genocide is defined as violent attacks with the intent to destroy in whole, or in part, a national ethnic, racial or religious group. This in no way describes the facts on the ground in Gaza. Israel is at war with Hamas, not the Gazans who have also suffered under Hamas’ oppressive rule since 2006. It is Hamas that attempted a genocide on Oct. 7, breaking the existing ceasefire, invading Israel in the thousands by land, air, and sea. Many of the terrorists recorded their own murder, rape, beheading and mutilation of more than 1,200 innocent civilians, including Americans, with 253 others seized as hostages. This barbarism should come as no surprise. Genocide is a central component of Hamas’ charter, which calls not only for the annihilation of Israel, but also for the death of all Jews. Oct. 7 was the deadliest day for the Jewish community since the Holocaust. Israel is defending itself against this savagery that Hamas has declared to repeat over and over again. The only way to ensure it is not repeated is to destroy Hamas. In doing so, Israel has exercised unprecedented efforts to limit civilian casualties. Since the war’s inception, Israel has warned civilians in advance of impending military action. The army has sent thousands of text messages and dropped leaflets into population centers, advising Gazans to relocate to safer areas. In contrast, Hamas seeks to maximize casualties—on both sides. While Hamas terrorists hide inside tunnels, they jeopardize thousands of Palestinian lives by firing missiles from schools and hospitals. This use of human shields reveals Hamas’ utter disregard for Palestinian life and exacerbates the suffering among its own population. Hamas deliberately targets civilian men, women and children by firing indiscriminately into Israeli towns. Israel, on the other hand, continues to expand efforts to provide humanitarian relief to Gaza even as Hamas steals humanitarian aid from Palestinians and repeatedly attacks aid crossing points. To date, the Jewish state has facilitated the entry of more than 27,000 trucks, which have carried more than 530,000 tons of water, food, medical supplies, cooking gas, fuel and shelter equipment into Gaza. There have also been more than 9,000 packages dropped by air, and very shortly, with Israel’s support, a U.S.-built floating pier will further expand humanitarian aid efforts. And still, Israel is accused of genocide? One must wonder what motivates the twisting of facts to foster a narrative that demonizes Israel. If the sincere desire is to end “the enormous brutality against the people of Gaza,” as Nevel wrote, then one would be far better served by placing blame for the suffering where it lies – with Hamas – and supporting Israel’s efforts to liberate the Gazan population from Hamas’ tyrannical and genocidal rule.
Israel and American politics and news media, full of lies, distortions, half truths. What needs to be said is not said, twisted facts, biased, hypocritical. The West likes to portray itself as fair, truthful, honest, moral, godly. The facts say otherwise, the West are some of the worst global war mongering arms suppliers, greedy for money, capatilistic, power and status crazy. Biden's support for Israel slaughtering thousands of innocent lives, pretends he wants peace while turning a blind eye to attrocities, land theft, aid destruction, murder, hostility, razing of schools, hospitals, universities, infrastructure. The list goes on. The Western media are largely silent and condone the violence. You've even got American politicians saying "Nuke Gaza".
