Biden speaks with Netanyahu as Israelis appear closer to major Rafah offensive By ZEKE MILLER and AAMER MADHANI Associated Press • May 6, 2024 Joe Biden, left, spoke with Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu Monday, May 6, 2024. (AP) WASHINGTON — President Joe Biden again urged Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu against launching an offensive in the southern Gaza city of Rafah as Israel on Monday appeared to be moving closer to a major military operation to root out Hamas militants.........
Biden: "Hey Bibi, don't be naughty, but we love you when you are". Netanyahu: "Thanks Joe, Israel loves you too and we specially love shitting all over you". Putin: "Hey Bibi, I wanna play that game too". Kin Jong Un": "Hey, wtf, don't leave me out"!
So Hamas just crossed out the text in the agreement where it said they must provide live hostages and wrote in that they can just provide the bodies of dead hostages. This is the disgusting behavior we have come to expect from terrorists. Certainly Israel is not going to agree to this alteration. Obviously Hamas knew they would not -- so this is just another delaying tactic rather than any real commitment to a ceasefire by Hamas. Of course, the intent in this situation was to make it look like Israel was the bad guy by not agreeing to a ceasefire on the eve of the Rafah offensive. Noting that Egypt has already stated that Hamas has not agreed to the internationally-brokered ceasefire agreement text despite Hamas' claim earlier today that they agreed to it. At this point it is not likely that Hamas has 33 live hostages to provide in a prisoner exchange. Hamas changed cease-fire deal to let them include bodies of dead hostages in prisoner swap https://nypost.com/2024/05/06/world-news/hamas-changed-ceasefire-deal-to-count-dead-hostages-report/ Hamas changed the language in the cease-fire deal it accepted Monday to count the bodies of dead hostages in a proposed swap for Palestinian prisoners, according to a shocking report. The deal signed by Hamas also included an end to the war in Gaza — something the Israeli side said it would not accept. But one of the biggest changes reportedly came in the language around the 33 Israeli hostages who were set to be released in exchange for a cease-fire. While the original deal called for 33 living hostages, Hamas changed the wording to include 33 hostages “alive or bodies,” officials told public broadcaster KAN TV. Israeli officials have blasted the proposal as significantly different from what Israel had initially said it would agree to. Hamas has repeatedly warned that it does not have enough hostages who meet Israel’s demands, which called for the release of hostages who are women, elderly or those suffering from illnesses and medical conditions. The Hamas deal also contained wording that called for an end to the nearly seven-month long war, which goes against Israel’s hardened stance, a senior American official told CNN. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who has repeatedly said that the war will not end until Hamas is eliminated, vowed to reject Hamas’ offer. Despite Netanyahu’s plans, his office said Israel is still sending a negotiation team to Cairo “to exhaust the possibility of achieving an agreement on terms that are acceptable to Israel.” The deal called for an initial 42-day truce period to free the hostages, for the IDF to partially withdraw its troops from Gaza, and to allow the more than 1 million refugees in Rafah to return to central and northern Gaza. The next phase had called for another six-week truce in order to establish peace in the Palestinian enclave and for the negotiations and hostage exchange to continue. The final phase of the Hamas deal would see the last hostage exchanges come to a close and for a reconstruction of Gaza to begin through a plan overseen by Qatar, Egypt and the United Nations. Hamas also called on a total end to the blockade around the Gaza Strip that has been in place since the terror group became governors of the land in 2007. While he acknowledged that there were “significant gaps” between Hamas and Israel, Israel war cabinet member Benny Gantz said Israel was still working “to turn over every stone” to secure the hostages. While the deal contains non-starters for Israel, US and UN officials have called on the Jewish State and Hamas to stay at the negotiation tables and hammer out a real deal to avoid more bloodshed in Gaza. Following Israel’s rejection of the Hamas deal, the IDF began its advancement into Rafah despite US opposition. President Biden has repeatedly warned Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu not to go ahead with the Rafah offensive unless the IDF could secure the safety of the civilians, with the president repeating himself during a call earlier Monday.
The IDF - ISRAEL DEFENSE FORCE is a misnomer and should be named IOF, Israeli Offense Force because offense is what it does best. After all the bombs Biden has supplied Israel recently and the indiscriminate bombing of civilians by Israel, the last count of; As of 24 April 2024, over 35,000 people (34,262 Palestinian and 1,410 Israeli) have been reported as killed in the Israel–Hamas war, including 97 journalists (92 Palestinian, 2 Israeli and 3 Lebanese) and over 224 humanitarian aid workers, including 179 employees of UNRWA. The vast majority of casualties have been in the Gaza Strip: over 34,262 have been killed, 70% of them are women and minors. The accuracy of these figures, as well as the number of women and minors killed, is disputed. In December 2023, Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor estimated 90% of the casualties were civilians, while the IDF put the civilian ratio at 66% of those killed. The death toll comes from the Gaza Health Ministry and the total death toll in Gaza is presumed to be higher than reported, with thousands remaining unaccounted for, including those trapped under rubble. The chance of hostages coming out alive or unscathed is very slim, you can thank Biden and Bibi for this result, it's called collateral damage, where in many instances IDF fired upon anything moving, even hostages attempting escape & waving a white flag. The Gaza war was never about retrieving hostages alive, it was all about revenge.
Take a look at this most recent photo. Smoke billows after Israeli strikes in Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip on May 6, amid the ongoing conflict between Israel and the Palestinian Hamas movement. AFP/Getty Images If any hostages are killed in this huge blast, weapons supplied care of Biden, in a residential area, guess what... yup Hamas will be blamed for killing them.
But it transpired it was Israel which then rejected the cease fire agreement, so hypocritically as always, now it became no longer 'vital'. If Hamas were to reject the cease fire proposal, the blame game would have begun in earnest. When Israel rejects it, "Quick sweep it under the rug boys and quick change the subject".
Israel rejected the ceasefire agreement because Hamas altered it to deliver the bodies of hostages rather than live hostages. Hamas never agreed to the ceasefire agreement text put forward by the international community as outlined by Egypt. Hamas’ “agreement” to a ceasefire agreement was merely just another perverted delaying tactic by the terrorist group. I explained all of this in detail earlier. At this point it is time for Israel to go into Rafah and systematically eliminate the remaining Hamas terrorist militant battalions. Obviously Hamas is not negotiating in good faith for a ceasefire.
Biden condemns antisemitism in Holocaust remembrance speech amid college protests and Gaza war "There’s no place on any campus in America” or any place in America for antisemitism or threats of violence," Biden said. He added, “We’re not a lawless country — we are a civil society” Biden said “There’s no place on any campus in America” or any place in America for antisemitism or threats of violence. He added, “We’re not a lawless country — we are a civil society” .......................... Says Biden who supplies weapons to Israel which has an ongoing campaign of indiscriminate and reckless bombing of civilians and a country which supports Settlers stealing land and apartheid. One recurring theme from Biden and Netanyahu is hypocrisy, "We’re not a lawless country" LMAO
