That sums it up nicely! Same with other Arab countries joining into the fray now, they do not wish to tolerate American and Israeli arrogance, don't blame them one little bit. The American politicians who support Israel while Gaza is being leveled into dust, it's just disgusting!
I think Netanyahu as an American Ally will come at a very high price, dragged back into forever wars. Putin and Xi love the distraction, Kim too maybe later, but Biden is too stupid.
Just my opinion, when Hamas attacked, it was a deliberate act to especially provoke America back into the middle east fighting, and it worked!
Nah, they're on record of being surprised by the reprisal. I think they were puppets by bigger players that stand to gain despite the goals achieved (postponing Abraham accords). Most say Iran but I don't see Iran gaining from it unless Israel normalizing relations w/Saudi and others puts them at a tactical disadvantage. They were owed some revenge from Soleimani and other killings I suppose, plus the scrapping of the nuclear deal and re-imposing of sanctions. I'm still suspicious of Russia since they've benefited the most and aren't shy of starting shit in the ME (Syria, Africa) to drive refugee hordes into EU and cause NATO/UN discord. This whole debacle has exposed the Israel alliance as totally morally bankrupt when it comes to brown peeps so the optics of condemning the Russians for going HAM on Ukraine loses the US a ton of international good will. Never mind wrecking Biden's chances at reelection and any further aid to Ukraine.
Hamas surprised at reaction = Hamas stupid. Yup, behind it all imo is Russia stirring the pot, but it doesn't change the fact, Biden and congress are very dumb, so easily led and fallen into a trap. Russians know Americans have very strong emotional ties with Israel and the whole bunch of Arabs/Jews are easily triggered. Should America pull out of Israel, then Russia just needs to join back in provoking Israel and the cycle will start once again. Israel is a millstone around Americas neck which they can't shake off.
politicians at the hill are completely disconnected from voters and coddled by a cadre of "experts" who tell them what interest/lobby groups want them to think. They then blame/shame the voter base for not falling in line w/their garbage out of touch policy. Enter UK wanting to ban protests as "antidemocratic extremism".
