Biden said set to make push for demilitarized Palestinian state as part of new doctrine New York Times’ Thomas Friedman, who’s close to the US administration, says emerging doctrine would include Saudi-Israeli normalization, 2-state solution, and campaign against Iran https://www.timesofisrael.com/biden...ed-palestinian-state-as-part-of-new-doctrine/
good insight: A few observations: 1. Author claims no other ships outside those inbound/outbound to Israel and now US/UK warships were targeted....I'd have to fact check but thought they were being way more indiscriminate; hence coalition. 2. Author claims not a proxy but it's hard to dismiss Iranian leverage in action, given weapons aid provided. That's not to say that political aims don't align so really claiming this is proxy action isn't even necessary. 3. It's clear that for the Houthis, this conflict aligns w/their goals "death to America, death to Israel" and the explosion in support amongst the Yemeni. Basically, Israel's heavy hand being used by populist authoritarians to further their goal and grab of power. While couched in altruism, a prompt cease fire would've resulted in less political advantageous rallying beyond "we made them stop it".
Yah, Hamas are particularly naughty, they fight against oppression, they resist the conniving Jewish settlers, use humans as shields, they cut babies heads off, they work in the UNRWA and damnit if they have the audacity to accept money from Netanyahu.
At National Prayer Breakfast, Biden speaks of praying, working for peace ‘We're all blessed to live in a nation where we can practice our many faiths and practice them freely,’ Biden said at the U.S. Capitol’s Statuary Hall. Banks https://religionnews.com/2024/02/01...st-biden-speaks-of-praying-working-for-peace/ (RNS) — President Joe Biden vowed to keep working and praying for resolutions to global conflicts as he addressed the National Prayer Breakfast. He also urged congressional leaders not to treat those with whom they disagree as enemies. “My prayer, my hope, is we continue to believe our best days are ahead of us, that as a nation we continue to believe in honesty, decency, dignity and respect,” he said in remarks Thursday (Feb. 1) in Statuary Hall in the U.S. Capitol. “We see each other not as enemies but as fellow human beings, each made in the image of God, each precious in his sight.” The event, sponsored by the National Prayer Breakfast Foundation for the second year on Capitol Hill, follows a tradition that dates to the Eisenhower administration when U.S. presidents began attending the annual event long held on the first Thursday of February. “We’re all blessed to live in a nation where we can practice our many faiths and practice them freely and where we can come together and lift up our nation and each other — each other — in our own prayers, especially in tough times,” Biden said in remarks carried by C-SPAN2 and CBN News. As other presidents have, he used the occasion to give thanks for others’ prayers for him even as he described the subject of his own faithful petitions. Biden said his prayers are with the families of three U.S. service members killed in an attack on Sunday in Jordan at a military base near the Syrian border. “Not only do we pray for peace, we are actively working for peace, security, dignity for the Israeli people and the Palestinian people,” he said. “I’m engaged in this day and night, working as many of you in this room are, to find the means to bring our hostages home, to ease the humanitarian crisis and to bring peace to Gaza and Israel — an enduring peace with two states for two peoples — just as we worked for peace, security and dignity for the Ukrainian people as they show incredible resolve and resilience against Putin’s aggression. We must continue to help them.” President Joe Biden speaks during the National Prayer Breakfast with congressional leaders, in Statuary Hall at the Capitol in Washington, Feb. 1, 2024. (AP Photo/J. "....In the meantime while I'm tickling your ears with religous rhetoric bullshit which means absolutely nothing in the real world, we continue to supply weapons and ammo to Netanjahu' govt who's encouraging the settlers and IDF to shoot anything which moves in Gaza."
Yeah, riiight.... Biden Official Refuses to Answer Whether Israel Cutting Off Water Is a War Crime National Security Council spokesman John Kirby does not want to get into the details of the Israel genocide hearing. https://newrepublic.com/post/178000...t-off-water-war-crime-israel-genocide-hearing Joshua Roberts/Getty Images White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby refused to answer whether Israel cutting off Palestinians’ access to water is a war crime. During a press conference on Wednesday, Kirby was asked about the upcoming International Court of Justice case accusing Israel of committing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza. South Africa brought the charges against Israel and, as proof of its case, submitted an 84-page filing in December documenting Israeli war crimes as well as statements by various Israeli officials that it says proves “genocidal intent.” The ICJ will hear its first public hearing on the case on Thursday. Kirby—and the Biden administration writ large—have completely dismissed the case thus far. Kirby last week called it “meritless, counterproductive, and completely without any basis in fact whatsoever.”
Biden a religous warmongering president, the biggest hypocrite of them all. Not in the least bit surprised.
