So is getting yam v2 now vs yam v3 later priced in? Can yam be farmed?

    Very good questions, btw.

YAM v2 is only a place holder for YAM v3, and with limitations, as after migration, only 50% are vested, with the other 50% on a vesting process over a 30 day period.

There's no value to YAM v2 only future valuation of the YAM v3 project and not even equal as initially, YAM v2 migrated to YAM v3 will have restrictions, but DeFi being DeFi valuations are out of whacked. Earlier, my YAM v2 bag was worth more than $11K earlier today but I was on the road and could not make a trade so if it gets there again, I'll sell and leave 1 YAM v2 token in the wallet just in case it's needed to get my delegation "bonus" YAM v3 coins.

There is a chance YAM v2 will be listed on sushiswap staking/farming platform, saw a tweet or 2 asking for it on the sushiswap account, but who knows what the possibility of that, but that could provide a price boost to YAM v2 tokens.

There is no farming YAM v2 as the supply is fixed, it will be 1-to-1 conversion to YAM v3.

I would recommend waiting for YAM v3 rather than buying YAM v2 for any observer, but I could be wrong if sushiswap or a related news that gives value to YAM v2 is announced...

Bam! sold most of my YAM v2 tokens and only left a little over 1 YAM v2 token in the wallet.

I got a little over $10.9K in Eth, minus gas fees of $35.66 (payable in Eth), so not quite break-even from original investment, but I consider it a win.

I might buy into YAM v3 when it comes out. I'm expecting some YAM v3 delegator "bonus" coins in my wallet (27 tokens for delegating guaranteed, plus a percentage based on the amount of YAM v1's I delegated, those YAM v1's were valued at $10K at the time of delegation).

    Onward and upward...

Sorry, please disregard my previous post. Yam v2 (with ETH pair Uniswap LP) can be used to farm $sushi on 9/4/2020, the code has been deployed but there is a 48-hour timelock (safety security feature of Sushiswap). It's probably what's giving value to YAM v2 tokens...

That's funny. Chef Nomi didn't go after yfi. I guess it's best not to provoke a beast.

YFI is on the menu, but YFII is not :D

btw, one of the security audits came out with no critical issues on the sushiswap code, $sushi has been going up since. I'm already mining with an irresponsible amount of LEND/ETH Uni LP tokens, but thinking of being even more degenerate and adding more tonight. These high rates are only good for another 9 days and 14 hours, lol

Those rates fluctuate but they are calculated based on the $ valuation of sushi and your Uni v2 LP tokens. I have not harvested the $sushi tokens, but so far I've farmed ~250 and it has been about 20 hours, what's helping me was that I farmed most of them earlier when the price of $sushi was lower (less than $7, now it's over $8 so the rate of farming will probably slow down)

I'm actually hoping sushi doesn't go too high so I get more sushis and moon when I'm ready to harvest/sell
