My comparison is spot on.Refusing to change gun laws is advocating for more school and mass shootings.

No one that I know of is advacting for sex acts in front of children.

I could have written that better.
It should read "Including 'the protection of' Taiwanese human rights."

I read today that Bannon started making a documentary with Epstein with the intention of rehabilitating his image and was visiting him in period before his, let's just say death, in custody. This so conveniently before he said give me a deal or I'm naming names.

Bannon is like some vile gremlin messing up the world. Trump would never have got elected without him, Brexit before that etc.

  7. Here is a question that I have asked on the forum every six months for the last several years which gets ignored ....but...one of these days the tide will turn and the powers that be will dig deeper.

Alvin Bragg's predecessor was of course Cyrus Vance.

One day, out of the blue, when a New York prosecution of Epstein was not even active, Cyrus Vance showed up in Manhattan District Court and asked the judge to lower Epstein's sex offender classification. It was not a routine matter, or at least the judge did not treat it that way and smelled something rotten and told him to get the fuck out.

So the question remains: For what reason would the Manhattan District Attorney- appear personally and not through an assistant DA- to argue a low level matter like that. And how and for what reason did he feel that he owed Epstein that "favor."

I don't keep up with the monthly court actions to release more and more of Epstein's black book stuff. Some is released, some gets redacted, some gets redacted and then released after court review. Not sure where we are with all of that. My answer might still be coming. Or not. Cyrus Vance's name may appear in documents that name other known dems which the powers that be are fully committed to protecting, so Vance may get protection indirectly that way. Or not.

Epstein did not hide his conviction and activities from his wealthy friends, he openly boasted about it.

Jeffrey Epstein chatted openly while hanging out with billionaires about his time in jail for soliciting a child prostitute: WSJ
    https://finance.yahoo.com/news/jeffrey-epstein-chatted-openly-while-164100087.html
    • A former executive told WSJ that Jeffrey Epstein openly talked about his time in jail in 2008.
    • Barnaby Marsh, who frequented Epstein's home, spoke to WSJ about Epstein.
    • Epstein served 13 months in prison in 2008 in connection to soliciting a child prostitute.
Jeffrey Epstein met with billionaires and chatted openly about the time he spent in jail in 2008 for soliciting a child prostitute, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing interviews and documents reviewed by the paper.

The Wall Street Journal reviewed thousands of pages of documents, including emails and schedules from 2013 to 2017, that reveal new details about the disgraced financier's personal life and connections.

Epstein — who died by suicide in jail while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges in 2019 — frequently met with high-profile billionaires, politicians, and executives at his New York townhouse, WSJ reported, citing the reviewed documents.

Barnaby Marsh, a former executive at the John Templeton Foundation charity, attended Epstein's salon-style gatherings dozens of times, WSJ reported.

Marsh told the WSJ that Epstein openly talked about the time he had previously spent in jail for soliciting a child prostitute.

"So many of these billionaires knew him," Marsh told WSJ. "Nobody ever said, 'Watch out for him.'"

Epstein was a registered sex offender at the time and had served a 13-month jail term in Florida in 2008 after he pleaded guilty to procuring a person under 18 for prostitution and felony solicitation of prostitution.

The disgraced financier was arrested again in July 2019 on sex-trafficking charges and died several weeks later.

Jeffrey Epstein pulled many wealthy and connected people into his circle of "friends" -- recent disclosures show this includes former Treasury Secretary and Harvard President Emeritus Lawrence Summers, billionaire LinkedIn founder Reid Hoffman, CIA Director William Burns, former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, Noam Chomsky, Apollo Global Management co-founder Leon Black and others.

The best that can be determined -- Jeffrey Epstein basically built an operation to increase his wealth and influence by blackmailing these leaders by filming them in bed with underage teens. Certainly his home in NYC had hidden cameras all over the place and certainly his other residences did as well.

Far from hiding his conviction for involvement with a child prostitute, he openly bragged to his wealthy friends about it. Basically it appears that Jeffrey Epstein was openly telling his buddies that he could set them up with the same. Some of these wealthy people likely took up Jeffrey on the offer -- and were blackmailed. This is not to say that everyone who visited his island, flew on his plane, or visited his residences had sex with children -- but certainly Jeffrey was grooming them to do so. Many likely were -- including the owner of Victoria's Secret.

Jeffrey Epstein had no morals and quite happily took up sexual services with underage teens -- using his masseuse ploy to recruit them. He depended on a small circle of people to recruit troubled teens to serve as his underage prostitutes and service his wealthy friends.

Of course Jeffrey's intent over many years was to use blackmail to make himself wealthy and to provide himself with legal protection. In the end the legal system caught up with his outrageous scheming as his protection proved inadequate -- and the end result is he landed up dead in a prison cell.
