Yahoo Finance Question

  1. For some reason, the interactive charts for the S&P 500 and the Dow Jones Industrials won't display past October 31, 2007 on Yahoo Finance. Here are the charts:

    http://finance.yahoo.com/echarts?s=^DJI#chart1:symbol=^dji;range=1y;charttype=line;crosshair=on;logscale=on;source=undefined

    http://finance.yahoo.com/echarts?s=^GSPC#chart1:symbol=^gspc;range=1y;charttype=line;crosshair=on;logscale=on;source=undefined

Anybody else have this issue? I like their charts because of the "track ball" feature.

  2. Yahoo, while user friendly, occasionally seems to have problems with their data. Only thing you can really do is wait until it gets fixed.

  3. Google finance has the "trackball" feature you refer to. Perhaps that would work just as well?

I've noticed this recently on Yahoo too, with some other stocks.

I found that Yahoo had switched the default chart type to interactive java charts. Once I selected the regular chart types (there is a link), the problem seemed to go away. Must just be a bug in the new interactive charts.

I've noticed issues with yahoo finance data from time to time.
I've gone back and forth with them on a couple of occasions.
    They are usually pretty responsive.

finance.google.com is a pretty good alternative when yahoo finance is mafunctioning.

  6. Is it possible to display a 200 day moving average on the Google Finance charts? I can't seem to find an option for that.
