Xpresstrade

  1. Here is the activity I told them I would do.
    Avg Acct Balance: $5000
    Daily Volume (round turns): 3
    Trade Style: SwingTrader

    Here is there offer.
    "We can offer you a rate of $5.84 a round turn for the electronic contracts and $14.04 a round turn for the open outcry markets."

  2. that's $14.04 plus exchange fees correct?

    Xpress is at $19 + fees...

  4. wow, those comms are high. for longer term holds its ok i guess. after some more reading this morning, i also decided to add ecry to the list, so it seems like ecry, man and xpresstrade are the prominent choices..

    ecry doesn't appear to offer comex though, does anyone trade the nymex metals via ecry, is it a decent experience?

    in general it would be good for us to find some sort of concensus on a pit broker, factoring in

    1. solvency
    2. execution speed and slip
    3. mkt coverage
    4. costs

  5. My first futures account was with express and for a complete newbie it was fine, but the commissions were way to high so I eventually moved to interactive brokers. Interactive brokers has better commission rates and faster execution, but don't expect anyone to hold your hand.

    By the way, expresstrade is now owned by options express.
