I am currently using xp home edition, it is ok, does anyone use xp pro, is it much different, and worth the upgrade price, I do run a lot of apps, eq, realtick, esignal, and a few others thanks mike
It was my understanding that they were essentially the same product, i.e., same kernel, and that the main difference was in various networking configurations and some administrative accessories. Also, if upgrading from NT or Win2000 the Home edition won't work, you're required to use the Pro upgrade.
Also things such as domain authentication, EFS (new filesystem) etc... check out the MS site for more info
