VIX at 5 year lows. Couldn't help myself, bought some calls.

 

Do not tell me it was just becuz it got so low. Please.

Dunno how to upload the long term VIX vs SPX chart but it's available on yahoo finance and since 1990 there have been bull markets with vix lower than today during long periods.

 

From the yahoo data, 693 closes below Friday's close of 12.46.
