why? why do you say things so unequivocally when they are at best hopes.
it makes you seem emotional and illogical.

the bills were sold around the time of a banking crisis.
there have been big t.v. contracts since then.
buffalo is a very different market probably much less lucrative with a far dimmer future.
we also have had inflation since then.
    particularly in things billionaires collect.

So please start thinking before you write.

Since ratings are down the next TV contract should be less,so team values should be less by your logic.

people with sub 120 IQs (approximately) are doomed to think non systematically.
they think if A not B or if A then must be B.
its why many think that if if CO2 can cause warming in a lab... man man co2 must causing on earth. They don't realize that there are complicated systems out there with positive and negative feedbacks.

NFL team pricing does not necessarily follow a linear pattern...
as you get smarter you can begin to think in systems and understand there are multiple variables which impact supply and demand curves and impact price.

a fifty dollar ring a decade ago could now be worth 90 dollars today. But it could have been worth 120 dollars 2 years ago.
and that same ring might have different values at different auctions in different markets.

The Panthers are in the bottom half of the league like The Bills. If The bills future was dim they could move to another city .Keep digging for excuses why the next NFL team will sell for a record price while arguing that the league is doomed.

sub 120 IQ thinking and responses by tony.
by the way cease with the misrepresentation.
I am not arguing the league is doomed.
I am saying the players and the owners have screwed up... see the title of the thread.

    So lets nail this down.

in 2014 were the panthers worth more than the bills?
Next is a buyer more likely to overpay for a franchise in a booming area the country or buffalo?

hers is one estimate for 2014. And there are multiple articles on the net saying carolina is more valuable than buffalo.

    do you dispute that? tony...

Buffalo’s National Football League franchise is selling to a new owner for $1.4 billion. So what are the Carolina Panthers worth?

Forbes magazine’s latest estimate values Charlotte’s pro football franchise at $1.25 billion, No. 17 among 32 teams and far behind the Dallas Cowboys, which eclipse $3 billion. But in a sale, the team could go for as much as $1.7 billion, sports business experts say.

“Carolina is smack dab in the economic middle,” said John Vrooman, a sports economist at Vanderbilt University.

The Carolina Panthers aren’t believed to be for sale, but the possibility came to light during last year’s negotiations with the city of Charlotte over stadium renovations.
