  2. That is because you don't watch the DOM 8hours a day like I do.

But hey, dream on, you don't have to take my word for it.

personally i think this talk of lag is irrelevant. it will depend on

    1. the FCM's hardware they install CQG or TT on (actually, I think CQG is always hosted by CQG to ensure customers all get a top notch service). one broker may spend serious coin on hardware and have a great tt offering. another will put it all on a couple of acer servers and it will suck.

    2. your internet connection. if your sat at home on an adsl line, youre probably going to see lags if your watching cqg, tt, or porn.

having said that, i hear a lot of folks are switching from tt to cqg who use autospreaders because cqg is faster with it being hosted at the exchange data centre - which is why tt are now doing the same thing.

not everyone uses an autospreader though.

& btw, velocity dont clear trades. they are non clearing members of a few exchanges.

  7. Yes, I believe TT calls their network infrastructure "TTNET" so check with the broker to make sure that's the connectivity they are using, else run like a rabbit from that broker.

  8. I agree on the brokers infrastructure.

    It's important. Velocity isn't bad.

The problem which I have seen from clients coming to me clearing Velocity is trading multiple markets - you get that rate based upon using only one exchange key for TT.

My clients using Ninja cannot get it to work satisfactorily with spread markets. Same with their charting package. They always end up switching brokers and/or execution platforms.
