Revert back to maveracks post. Mav said TT_trader...........not X-trader. Mav is correct, these are not the same thing. X-trader is the regular platform as many of us have used and are so fond of. TT-trader is different, TT-trader has included the charting software = X-Study. Some brokers surely offer their clients the X-trader, X-trader pro etc along with X-study if so desired........ ...BUT. Velocity and Global ..........DO NOT OFFER TT_TRADER. can this change? Sure but as now they do not offer the charting . Thks If a am wrong, please correct me, but offer some proof..
I hope Global Futures continues not to offer X_Study before GHCO is able to deliver good, fast and reliable performance over TT X_Trader 7.x -- I'm referring to the transactional model offers; maybe with the RCG (but you have to pay full TT fees) they are able to deliver charts, too.
If E-Trade can deliver TT_Trader with x-study, i see no reason why velocity or global are not with the program.
Are you willing to 'risk' to collapse your IT dept bc TT delivered (maybe) a not too perfect TT_Trader platform? Remember that a good part of FCMs and brokers waited several months before implementing TT 7.x. Knowing the great reliability of TT 6.x and the the so-so of version 7.x, I will look elsewhere should I be forced to switch to TT_Trader...
So Bernard, i take that as an admission that e-trade has their act together. Guess who gets the account if i go tt-trader route?
Penson GHCO already dismissed to offer the transactional billing with Global Futures for new customers and also closed the accounts with low volume. About TT_Trader, I would suggest you to have a trial with it before expressing a desire to trade with it... it seems a stripped-down version that is still to be debugged.
You cannot duplicate what they have done, period. The UI is just a minor, very minor part of their gateway into direct exchange transaction placement engine.
