If I held every person to the letter of the TOS terms, there would be about 2 people left, me and Magna. Correction, there would be one person left. Magna. I've been known to fly off the handle every so often.
Lets see, he's been banned 3x in the past and each time he has returned. One particular ban was for marketing while not being a sponsor and he did apologize for such. That's the same as admitting he did such and then saying "I'm sorry and it won't happen again". His journal was allowed to remain open for the crap conversation to continue even while he was banned. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to know what's going to happen when that ban was lifted. His journal has been shut down at least once before and then re-open. His journal is now in the Chit Chat section and its still open. He has openly stated a few times in the past why he's here. To market and to network. Heck, I even saw someone say he said "big players" see value or value his journal. Guess what will happen next considering his journal was allowed to remain open ? Surf will wait it out like he usually does in other "banned like situations"...his journal will then be moved back into the journal section after making promises again that he will stop. Then all those involved will return to his journal and the circus will be back in town. Personally, when the Jim Nestlé twitter psychotic character showed up soon after his 2013 ban for constantly starting arguments about TA, trolling certain members and hijacking trading threads that was not about TA just to start another debate about TA...the journal should have been permanently shut down at that point until the Jim Nestlé alter ego deleted his (her) account regardless if it was surf or not. The reason being for a permanent shut down is the fact that surf himself was posting links back to the Jim Nestlé twitter psychotic character. Had he not consistently posted links back to the Jim Nestlé psychotic character and then continue doing such after ET management told him to stop doing such... It didn't take too long for the journal to get moved to chit chat. Any member that's been here for many years knows what happens when your thread gets moved to chit chat...the circus show stops, the thread loses view counts, those "big players" that surf knows and said they value his journal...they move on because there's hundreds of other journals or blogs out there online without the circus show that provides useful content especially if you're in the fund industry or fund manager industry looking to meet others as such online. That's the part I don't understand. If someone was here truly to market themselves (as he stated several times that's why he was here) to those outside of this forum like funds, fund managers, big players...real professionals... Would you present yourself as such the way surf does ? If you were a professional, would you want your name and resources associated with someone like surf or the PHBFA organization that he's so far has been allowed to constantly promote here ? Baron needs to find away to better moderate the journals section especially when journals like the surf report shows up. It will be another "circus show" if that journal is moved back to the journal threads after a quiet period or if he's allowed to start another journal to continue the circus show.
