WTF is the deal with these flash mobs?

  1. even if carry a gun i can still be shot due to a nearby skirmish. i am not often approached by thugs. this is very low probability event AFAIK. now if i have 100s people with guns around me ALL THE TIME then the probability is high that somebody will start shooting at somebody else for some stupid reason.

i don't want to be in the line of fire even with my gun loaded.

This is ridiculous logic. I just came back from TX where almost everyone carries. And there are no shootouts in TX. It's not chaos everywhere. In fact, there are far fewer shootings in TX then IL where you are not allowed concealed carry!

Seriously man, you make the same argument that anti-drug people make. If we legalize drugs everyone will stop what they are doing and get high. If we legalize prostitution everyone will leave their families for hookers. Do you really buy into that ass backward logic?

Shortie, you are putting me on right? Right?

    Shortie,

More people drown in their pools then are killed by gunfire. We have 330 million people in this country and you cite 3 shootings? Come on man, you're a trader right? You are data mining now.

How many people are killed in their cars every year by drunks? Care to guess?

The car is a far more dangerous weapon then a gun. Maybe we should ban cars?

Excellent post and very true about the police not being able to get to you in time in most life-death situations. And as a follow-up to this earlier post...

During my time in the Army I was an MP and carried a .45 on my hip for years. I'm very comfortable with guns and live in a gun-friendly state, but I understand many aren't and don't have the training. Read LEAPup's post carefully as there is the wisdom of experience talking. Most gun owners know the first and most important rule of a gunfight is to make sure you bring a gun. And the answer to the question, "What's the best gun to have?" is whichever one you've got in your hand.
