The fed did it. Steve Liesman on CNBC said that the fed had to buy freddie and fannie paper today on squawk box.
haven't FNM/FRE been seized by the govt? for all I know, I don't even know why they are being traded. NasdaqPlayer, the price of FNM/FRE can go to 15-30 under one scenario assuming they continue to be traded in NYSE. After all the turmoil is over, FNM/FRE start to generate money, and govt letting it go public again. until then, the govt will eat all the profits from FNM/FRE, so why would u invest in it?
