    BTW it just ramped up again at the close here. Glad I refrained from trying a short an hour ago. Just isn't working now. :)

    Id be interested in why you want to short? What influenced this decision?

  3. As a caveat I'll just note that I'm not actively trading or following the stock market but I have been noticing a lot of "the top is in" type threads. Something to note is that one of the signature characteristics of a bull market is the slow grind with contracted ranges and "slow" movement. It makes it hard to find scalping opportunities, and most all of those appear on the short side. However because the ranges are contracted and the movement is stifled, the shorts get stuffed more often than not. It keeps the bull alive. When the patterns start changing, that's when to expect a correction. Remember, in a bullish bull market, there will be a ton of people turning bearish, shorting too early and sucking wind. It happens. Just don't voluntarily become road kill.
