It isn't system wide because I have been in all day and just logged into another IB account and went smooth and quickly.
They must be doing server shuffling. They have two servers in the US, one I know is in Connecticut and the other one, I don't know. It must be the server that's in Connecticut that was out and then if you were lucky, you get bounced to the other server until the other server got saturated. By that time, the Connecticut server came back up and eventually everybody got reconnected to the Connecticut one. So if you were lucky that you were able to get bounced to the other server early before it got saturated then you might have stayed connected the whole time but if you are not like all of us, then you had to wait until the Connecticut one is back up.
ndc1.ibllc.com (America East primary/ny5) had problems. Not sure if other servers were also affected (Europe, Asia, America - Central).
I'm in Denmark and I haven't been able to log in the entire day. Still doesn't work at 21:53 CET. I can't believe it
Doesn't matter where you're connecting from. It's not a network routing issue. I was connecting from Asia (US/Chicago IB server) and couldn't connect.
