Although he doesn't realize it, I did jamesbp a huge favor by taking that thread down containing his 400 posts.

Could you clarify this please. Was he or ET at risk of getting sued? I did not see any slander/libel.

Or was his ID uncovered and he had some previous business relationship with Sosnoff/Tastytrade, or a former employee?

I am smiling. Because this is how conspiracy theories get started. Please nip that in the bud, or not.

BTW, anyone who wants to read 99 of the deleted 100 page thread, can still see it in Google's cache. To see it, search Google by using: Tastytrade bornwarrior Page site:elitetrader.com
Then click on the little green arrow to see the cache. ET member bornwarrior created the thread. Deleted here, but not gone.

If you want to see a specific page, put the page number in quotes. For example, to see page 100 of the thread use this: Tastytrade bornwarrior "Page 100" site:elitetrader.com
for page 99: Tastytrade bornwarrior "Page 99" site:elitetrader.com (which is not complete, missed two of my posts about the Shadowtrader under performance record)
    etc.

No disrespect intended. But, I don't know what is going on here. And I would like some transparency, please. I know it is not a democracy here. I am hoping for a benevolent monarchy.

Are you saying, "I can't handle the truth"?

As was pointed out before there are some significant precedents being set here. I think this is a very important conversation.

No, that's not what I am saying.
Baron has tried to explain things to you.
Your post seemed very disrespectful to me.
    Just my opinion, of course.
Reread it and think about it a bit.

Okay. Deep breath here. I am sorry for being pushy.

Baron's comment: "Although he doesn't realize it, I did jamesbp a huge favor by taking that thread down containing his 400 posts," just does not make any sense to me. That thread also included 600 or so valid posts by other members. How often does this happen on ET?

I followed that thread with interest and posted there a few times with comments or questions. My impression is that jamesbp watched TT regularly and had enough trading savvy to call them out when they deserved it. His numerous posts were tracking a daily show that provided new content on a regular basis and always had another issue to address. I never detected any anger or malice on his part as his criticisms were fact-based and well reasoned. I believe his posts contributed to the quality of content on ET.

I can also appreciate the pressure this creates for Baron. Operating a forum that takes on a giant like AMTD, with the concern for legal action or simply alienating other sponsors who may feel tarnished by association, can force your hand to take the action he did.

TD Ameritrade is the sponsor of the Trading forum on ET.

I personally disagree with your deletion of the thread. I think that there are far worse offenders of "repeated bashing" on this site. But it's your website, I just live here.

    1. Yes, yes and yes. Do we have to spell out everything for you?
    2. Fair game until the subject threatens legal actions.

Legal matters are time and money consuming even when you are right. Look up BMT's lawsuit. Not everybody is willing to go that way.

That being said, I thought jamesbd was getting a little bit overzealous. We got his point after the first 100 posts, the rest was just repetition and going on a crusade... If he wants to do so, he can make a website for that purpose.

Now I predict this thread to be closed soon...
