Wow, the ranges are back to "normal"

    I havn't seen a 10 pt intraday range in the sp in forever it seems..

    I hope you newbies (is that term still used? lol) don't think this is low
    volatility.

    Its actually historically about average i think, more or less..

    Volatility is low for past week or so. I expect it go higher. Like any wave, it ebbs and flows. I welcome the high volatility on the way. Sitting on positions now and not selling and wait for the big moves.

    August holiday period.

    Maybe we get some volatility on friday after NFP.

    S&P is back to all time highs, so volatility will be muted unless there is a sell off.
    VIX is heading back down to below 20.

    It is what is called a "coiled spring", based on historical price action. If not tomorrow, Friday's action will be nutso.
