  2. Realllly now?

Like when all the 'flip this house' programs were running in 2006?

Surf, I sometimes wonder of you're getting Alzheimers, given your bullishness on NY Real Estate about a year ago, your view that the economy is spectacular, and things such as this.

  3. no correlation with the RE programs--- they just happened to run at the top of a cycle in the froth.

an illiquid commodity such as real estate isnt as sensitive to public interest as liquid exchange traded ones.

this clearly not the top of a stock cycle, infact evidence indicates its the start of a new bull--- artificial or not, it doesn't matter.

    mark my words, friend.

  6. i will tell you this we went to cash in fall 07 and plowed it into our house-sold that house-took all our equity and bought a much larger bank owned home for pennies on the dollar in another city.
the homes in this town were selling in the mid 100-200k range in 07-08-we bought the bank owned home in march 09,
a 1800+sqft craftsman fixer upper for 32k-will have put 30 k more into it to update to plush(new hardwoods, new baths high end fixtures and stainless in kitchen)and relax with no more MORTGAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!
best money idea we ever had-can work for 10.hr to pay all bills and food for a family of four!true financial independence finally!
too bad it took a terrible market and buying a bank owned property to do so.
now will buy another in the same range and become landlords and sell that one and hopefully more at the next top:D
bank owned properties(the right ones) are the way to go-that market is hot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
