I think you get really confused. If you day-trade futures, you "hold" your positions during the day. You "trade" when you enter and exit your positions that you currently "hold". If you swing trade, you "hold" your positions during the day and night. Again you "trade" when you enter and exit your positions. I just do not know what is not clear to you....
What is clear to me is my journal, and how I "traded" and "held" contracts. *shrugs*. It's a terminology thing.
If you can't tell the difference of "hold" and "trade" positions, I wonder how you write your journals. But good to know. And enjoy your journals... Good luck with your holding and trading futures. A lot of risks here.
