I know this wasn't directed toward me but I'd like to throw out an opinion. 1. A profitable trader (and happy trader) doesn't need a side income. If he wants more income he only needs to trade more contracts or shares. 2. Working for someone else in any capacity means the phone will ring and the trader must "perform". I don't like the circus animal lifestyle any longer. 3. Scaling down is the content for another thread.
Why would a profitable trader want to earn a side income by operating a trading vendor business, probably using a scaling down method?
Adding to that, not many hedge funds will let you trade for yourself and trade their capital...Nowadays,their compliance dept is all over that sort of activity.. Has anyone here (other tahn me)actually worked for a major investment bank??? The responces i am seeing are complete and utter bullshit...
mr?........hmmmm......i like that. play for coughlin..............naaaaaah....those beady little leprauchan eyes may get to me while he`s brow beating me. parcells on the other hand.......i`d say yeah,i`d take some smack from him,a fellow north jerseyan whom grew up & went to school near me & would most prefer to play for him. other coaches i`d accept some smack from are...,(chuckie) gruden, cower, billick & that`s about it.......let me know when my tryout is,i`ve been working on my high school pads all night.
I thought you may say that...now you really have me confused!!! so you wouldnt take shit from some munchkin managing director from Goldman, but you would let Parcells humilate you in front of the boys...... Promise me you wont walk off the field in the middle of the tryout, and ill set up the workout.... Ild rather see how you and Coach Bobby Knight hit it off
I have never seen such an adversion to making 500k per year..One would think we were asking them to do solitary confinement at Rahway and take showers and pick up the soap for their "brothers".... now i know why most of these guys are trading their own capital..And its not by choice
well i think its more the case of these people want to look like righteous people who will stick by their morals no matter what. But the reality is that if they were offered 500k a year to trade for somebody almost everysingle one of them would take about 3.2 seconds to answer yes. But as this is an anonymous forum they can sit there and say no no no...i would rather make peanuts workin for myself and try to come across as morally upstanding people. im not buyin it and i dont think anyone else is either. But its cute to listen to them try to convince themselves.
