SPORTS WIRE: Tyson 'very serious' about fighting women October 17, 2006 Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson said fans shouldn't expect much of a fight when he steps back into the ring. But he promised an entertaining show when he opens ''Mike Tyson's World Tour'' on Friday in Youngstown, Ohio. At a news conference to promote his return, Tyson said he likely would fight only four rounds and that future stops on the exhibition tour might feature bouts against women, including Ann Wolfe. Wolfe is 21-1 with 15 knockouts. ''She's such a prominent, dominant woman in the boxing field,'' Tyson said. When asked whether he was joking about fighting women, Tyson said, ''I'm very serious.'' But Russ Young, a promoter for Wolfe, said that never will happen. ''That's the first we've heard of it,'' Young said. ''No state would sanction that. She would be outweighed by 60 to 70 pounds. Well that's a bit weird. Its a shame what's happened to heavyweight boxing over the years (boxing in general for that matter), Tyson would probably have done better in MMA really. WWF even, anything but boxing under Don King, the master exploiter of the cerebrally challenged. This scenario is like something out of south park. What on earth, will be in this exibition tour? Who would fight him? And why? He sure isnt going to rake in the readies, as a motivational speaker.
Yeah, but thats the thing about Tyson, he didnt know he was nuts until it was too late. Now that he knows, hes worse off than when he WAS in don kings stable.
Me may still be in store for decades and decades of oddballery from Tyson. Here's a good line up for Mike: Round 1st: vs. a Kangeroo 2nd: vs. 2 women sumo wrestlers 3rd: vs. a tribe of pygamies 4th: vs. the women who have accused him of rape 5th: vs tanya harding/amy fischer/the run-a-way bride tag-team round there really is no limit to the possibilities with someone so insane and so easily manipulated ...
Well speak for yourself, by all means Personaly, i would pay to see him fight roy and zigfreids tigers, and, possibly, a giant armadillo of some sort. Beyond that, it just gets silly really.
Couldn't find a partner. The women were all too worried that during the scenes where he goes down he might bite. Ouch. H
