Would you like a SMART routing option which ignores ARCA?

ARCA needs to be shut down, either improve drastically or close it down.

Anyone want to rank their favorite routing choices??

    ARCA
    INCA
    ISLD
    SuperMontage
    etc...

How would you build the smart router?

Maybe we should demand the businesses let us build our own smart routers within their routing abilities. Design your own "best execution"...

    Ciao...

I have friends who connect directly to ARCA. They tap directly into the feed (Which is FIX) and execute via FIX. FIX is awful for quotes. Its very inefficient and ARCA usually gets bogged down. The problem is that post REDI merger, ARCA kept QUOTES on the same platform at the old ARCA, which was death. They did adopt REDI FIX execution, but that goes to hell sometimes with the servers getting bogged down (which is everyday and on every surge in trading, no matter how small). ARCA has always tried to be everything to everyone. It really should be a pure ECN like ISLD. When you talk to ISLD tech people, they are so calm and are so nice. Why? Because their systems work! They don't have to run around all day and put out fires left and right. It's like a big Band-Aid at ARCA and I hope the SUN's help. They should offer Josh Levine at Island a boatload of cash to come over and rebuild everything from the ground up. Pathetic.

Due to your recommendations and the efforts of def and myself, we have launched this function.

Build 789.7 now lets you Exclude ARCA from SMART.

Go to Configure>>Misc in order to set it up.
