Would you donate your computer idle time to run back tests for trading strategies? I designing some back testing software which will have distributed processing much like the SETI@Home project. Simply: The trader would download some software which would run in the background. When the trader's computer is idle it will run back tests on trading strategies. Would you be prepared to donate your computer's spare CPU cycles to testing trading strategies?
There's been an ongoing project for quite some time doing neural net forecasts. Might be worth having a look at www.moneybee.net
Thanks dcraig, Very interesting site but appears to be semi-dormant. Have you installed and run their screensaver?
